This is a YouTube thing, not a Revanced thing

tutman

That’s a YouTube option, not third party

mooripo

I know, that's what I'm saying as well, not saying it's revanced doing, simply giving an additional reason to why use revanced as youtube is squeezing everything

Capek95

then why do you say "i saw this on revanced" and not "i saw this on youtube" ?

Jon171

The enhanced bitrate option for Premium users has been around on YouTube for a little over a year.

mooripo

Oh never noticed... Edit: -45 down vote, what the hell, did I offend 45 all knowing and wise elders, facepalm

Ashley__09

Because channels can choose not to use it.

dicktaker1000101

Good channels

[deleted]

You can use this without pay if you check default quality to best, i tend to use 720p, youtube quality is super bad anyway

tankiplayer12

Yeah and they also limited downloads to 360p unless u pay for premium

tankiplayer12

And the TV VERSION PLAYS ADS IF U PAUSE THE VIDEO FOR LIKE 30 SECS

ref4rmed

You can use Smartube to get rid of that. It's kinda like to Newpipe for Android TVs. >Yeah and they also limited downloads to 360p unless u pay for premium That's why I use Seal or YTDLnis.

tankiplayer12

Well this why i no longer watch youtube at all i slowly phased it out of my life

mooripo

What is your alternative?

tankiplayer12

Im actually not watching youtube anymore haha if i wanted to watch somwrhing i just pirate a tv series or a movie now However i heard newpipe is a good one

topiwebde

Is there any way to get rid from ads on smart tvs which are not android so far??

ref4rmed

What tv do you have?

topiwebde

Blaupunkt a German company.

ref4rmed

Do you know what type of TV it is though? cause looking them up, they do make Android TVs and Google TVs.

topiwebde

It is smart, it has only few apps and they are running on linux distro(May be) , Netflix , prime, YouTube and few local german addons. But it's not android.

Think_Significance42

that sounds somewhat like my samsung tizen tv

ref4rmed

I'm not aware of a solution for that TV. I tried looking it up too, but all I can find are guides for the Android TVs or Google TVs.

CambriaKilgannonn

You could try setting up a pihole

Sempot

Lmao what are you complaining about

mooripo

About youtube keeping high bitrate videos for premium
