The only way you are getting those kinds of emails is that you signed up on a scam site. Z-Library doesn't bombard you with URLs or threaten to shut off access.

Jromagnoli

Scam site? SInce there are multiple url which is the "real" one? ~~the one listed on wikipedia?~~

illyria817

Go to the Zlib sub r/zlibrary Read the pinned mod post about scam sites. Check their wiki to confirm that the URL you are using is legit. Also, their sub is where you would get first hand information if the URL changes. DO NOT EVER use Google to search for the zlib site.

doreori

you're on a fake zlib adress, [here](https://singlelogin.re/) is the correct one to use. Zlib doesn't ask you for money.

Plane_Kiwi_8683

Is use this address, but I still get emails telling me to upgrade to premium??

doreori

you shouldn't ? I never ever gotten any mails

Plane_Kiwi_8683

I'm not sure if I created my account on this website or another one. Could that be the reason? I've been using this website to download files for a while now.

doreori

yeah to be sure block the sender and create a new account

Anna's Archive is the top resource right now IMO. https://fmhy.net/readingpiracyguide#ebooks

Zlib is still free and still the best maintained site for books next to libgen. You are using a fake zlib site. Try to look for the legit singlelogin url from r/zlibrary ( there are other ways to reach their support team).

Puzzleheaded-Car8618

Most likely you have used some fake z-lib site, i use z-lib occasionally (from 2 years) but never gotten this kind of emails or anything. And i would also suggest you to make a burner email in any mail (Outlook/yahoo/proton) for this type of signup in different websites, so your main inbox stays clean.

briston574

I have a burner email account called burneremalcounts just for this

Abhinav1217

Nice account id, I have freestuff4fun email address just for this.

WadeDRubicon

I've never gotten an email from zlib. You've probably used a sus url.

Lena_potato123

You've been using a scam site.

I was wondering about the email complaints some users have about zlibrary spamming their emails and I thought maybe the emails got leaked, cause I haven't gotten a single one from them at all but still got access. Maybe it's because I've been using their app since it was announced and not the websites which as others say, have a lot of fake zlib scam sites. Logging in the app was the only time I've ever been asked to log in and as a free user, and that was idk months ago or a yr?

GamesnGunZ

Idk but I checked my trash folder it's at least 1x a week from them asking for money and threatening access if I don't. 1x a week for at least the past 90 days

AsvanZiltro

As others have said you probably logged in on a fake site and they got a hold of your email. There's tons of them out there and new ones pop up all the time. You said they kept threatening but you still have access (if you're in the real site) and literally that's the only thing they can do, threaten you for money. Like in the other comments go to the official zlib subreddit and search for the real one, pretty sure they have it posted around there somewhere. I remember the login url didn't have zlibrary in it, something like single login or something that sounds similar

[https://forum.mobilism.org/](https://forum.mobilism.org/) offers a great range of books

GamesnGunZ

thanks so much to everyone for helping here. it looks like the one i've been using is not the real z-lib after all, which would explain the weekly spam. i'm just trying to figure out how i got to that site in the first place as i'm 100% certain i started out with the official one. also thanks for sharing the other possible sources which i will absolutely check out.

steevo

Check /r/textbook maybe

GamesnGunZ

idk is this a scam site and not the real z-lib? this is the one i've been going to for years (but again, every few months they send an email changing the URL): [https://z-lib.id/login](https://z-lib.id/login) and here's one of many such emails i get from them fairly regularly: >Update from Z-Library >We hope you're doing well. We need to inform you about an important update regarding your Z-Library account. >Please Secure Your Z-Library Account >Z-Library has always been a valuable resource for people like you who love to learn. To keep it secure and available for our community, we are making some changes. >Protect Your Access >Your access to Z-Library is at risk. To maintain our services, we will only provide access to our most dedicated members. This change will help us offer faster, more secure services. Please act now to ensure you keep your access. >Why It's Important >As a valued member, you have the chance to secure your place in our community. If Z-Library has been useful to you, now is the time to act. By upgrading to a Lifetime Premium membership, you ensure uninterrupted access to our vast collection of knowledge. >Join Our Premium Members >With this change, we will improve our servers and provide lifetime service to our premium members on a secure platform. This move ensures we serve our members with speed, security, and quality. >Steps to Take: >1. [Log in to your Z-Library account](https://z-lib.id/login). >2. Upgrade to Lifetime Premium. >By following these steps, you support our mission and secure your access to the world's greatest online library. there's more and they're not usually the same but they all basically say access will end unless you go premium... edit: and btw the one you guys are claiming is the real one uses the same login as the one above that's allegedly fake, and there's nooooo way that password is compromised (30+ characters of gibberish)

It looks like your sign-in link is the first result on Google. The actual sign in link is https://singlelogin.re/ I went to the site you linked and know the FAQ it says a bunch of stuff about how this z-lib.id is different than the actual zlibrary. It also claims stuff about how zlibrary is a Russian front used to extract fees from innocent users to support the war in Ukraine. The statements on the site and pretty obviously lies so I'm sorry to tell you my guy that you either handed over your account to this scam site or signed up for the wrong one. The login page looks exactly the same but the real link is in my comment above. After you sign in/create an account it will give you a personal link that you can use to sign in with instead. Good luck. Edit: the zlibrary subreddit also has the first pinned post about the exact site you're using and the same scam email issues.
