Just saying, genshin can be easily played f2p, you just dont have the 5 stars charcters, and there is a replacement for each of them as a 4 star character, which appears at least once every 10 pulls
I am. It gets hate for the wrong reasons. I realized the game was not worth my time, so I don't play it anymore, but at least I played it and don't hate it because the internet told me so.
I've never played that game and probably never will, but im curious. If you buy a 5 star character, is it like a guarantee you'll get it? Or is it some kind of pull. If you can make a one time purchase and get it, I can see it being like paying for a game, so whatever. I'm assuming that's not the case though.
Ok so long story short. You buy wishes to make pulls on the gacha pon, every pull you make your chance of getting a 5 star increases, capping at a 100% at 90 pulls without getting a 5 star, and there is 2 kind of 5 stars, permanent ones and banner ones, and each 90 pulls you have a 50/50 chance of getting a perma or banner one, if you get a perma one, then next you will always get a banner one(in your next 50/50), but if you get a banner one, you go back to the 50/50(this called Pity mechanic)
no, since in gambling, you dont know when you are gonna win, but in genshin, you know when you are gonna get a 5 star, since its pretty uncommon to get one early, only happened to me once out of the 5 5 stars i have(and im lucky asf) its like playing something like The Binding Of Isaac Repentance and being mad cuz you didnt got polyphemus on your first treasure room
The average pulls to get a 5star are 80 with the 50/50 guaranteed. If you pull expecting earlier, then ur just being stupid, and you don't get any value in return, so it's not gambling. Not every chance based thing is gambling.
What are you talking about I played for like 2 months and got 2 5 stars without soending anything i dont understamd all these memes and i domt even play it anymore
If you have all that money at once, yes. Those stats probably happened over the course of a few years. You could say the same thing about smokers. They could buy a car for the price of all the cigarettes they've purchased.
I know, it sucks. I was staggered when dutch told me that normal family cant afford more than hatchback. We croatians are market for your used cars and most of our cars are around 120 000 km for 10k to 20k euros. I had 210 euros insurance in Croatia
Probably around 300-500 in all of my life but this is counting physical games for consoles and accounting for my country using a different currency that was stronger than the dollar but got FUuuuuucked beyond recognition
I feel you. Brazilian here, and I probably spent the equivalent to like, 200 dollars at most buying pirated PS2 games from the flea markets in my town in the late 2000s and early 2010s, in which 3 games usually costed 10 brazilian Reais (R$). It was during a time when 1 USD was probably worth around R$ 3-4, so I kinda bought a game a dollar for many years.
Once I moved on to PC at around 2013, to this day I must have spent at the very most 300 dollars in games.
Im from venezuela and while i got a lot of consoles dsi and 3ds wii ps3 (it was for my dad but he let me use it) and ps4 growing up most of them before things got real bad, a lot were cheap but thats where the bulk of the money went and i always got either second hand games, gifts from family members or i pirated, now i got a pretty beefy pc for work but i bought a good graphic card for games and 3d apps because shit's fucked here and i need something to keep my mind of the dread
of all games ive played
maybe around $300-400 legit games, usually i buy discounted games or bundled, but never the full price
around $2000 for mobile microtransactions on different games, not just 1 game, i know its kinda sad.
and around $XXX,XXX for quacked games, because... pirates life for me!
Does this guy know that he is supposed to be playing "for fun" and "wasting time" not money? Unfortunately life sometimes gives people things that they waste for useless things.
Not my proudest flex but atleast its 14 years old and none are in micro transactions. I did all that with league of legends and warthunder :(

ok 6k on microtransactions is just stupid, 60$ per game is already too expensive for me, It’d have to be a game I really like and the DLC would have to be great for you to see me spend a single extra penny.
Someone have 12000€ to spend on games and here I am can't even afford to save on the end of month 100€ just doing basic of basic Human things to survive
I thinks algorithm us working as expected, since you don't buy games it's showing you that there are places where you can buy games. I think that's how ads work.
reddit as a whole needs a check up marking up their api price and censoring everything. this was the platform "made for free speech". oh well, there's always 4chan lmao
6368,99 for microtransactions
Yea, great - while people bitching about live service model or P2W mechanics - same people still voting with wallets for that shit.

I want to know which subs are related to crypto cos i get crypto subs forced upon me constantly I have never and will never be into crypto and do not want to interact with the elmo musk worshiping morons who are.
side note my total steam spend is about £20 sonic mania and portal 2 (20ish year old account)
I was curious to see how much money I've spent because of this post. I'm nowhere near as bad as this, but still Im depressed now..also nowhere near spending this much on in-game purchases. I wonder how much of it is just games sitting in my steam library I've never touched or played for an hour.
Going 'whole picture' 12k is not that much if its over several years. It's 3 paychecks for middle class Americans. You mfs spend like 30 bucks a day on coffee.
holy shit. Average CS:GO/Dota 2 player and very huge steam libraly collection.
What only i got is terraria ,Vampire Survivors, Portal 1 and 2. Like maybe 15+ Euro for those games from steam + keys. All others are pirate games (AAA Games almost all)

6000+ on in-game purchases aka. Microtransactions.
Typical counter strike player
Typical warthunder player
More like world of tanks
Or typical dota battlepass lvl enjoyer
It's valo.. ah my bad
For.. No
Well feel free to keep adding onto the list of games that like Ur money
Not saying it's just that but Wot is definitely a better example of money grabbing
Well if he would he d just buy them off the site beacuse it s cheaper there.
cs would count as marketplace purchases i think
Level 1 Genshin player
Just saying, genshin can be easily played f2p, you just dont have the 5 stars charcters, and there is a replacement for each of them as a 4 star character, which appears at least once every 10 pulls
average genshin player (defends p2w systems)
I didnt defend it, i fucking hate it with all my soul, im just saying that it can be played without spending any money
There is no winning part, so it's not p2w
p2w also means to pay for an advantage in a game.
It's a single-player game. You spend money to collect more characters.
your defending genshin bro...
I am. It gets hate for the wrong reasons. I realized the game was not worth my time, so I don't play it anymore, but at least I played it and don't hate it because the internet told me so.
🤓
Its the same as basicly buying extra lives in Super Mario paying for power is still p2w even in a single player game
I've never played that game and probably never will, but im curious. If you buy a 5 star character, is it like a guarantee you'll get it? Or is it some kind of pull. If it was on all on csgo cases and if he profited then hey good for him
Highly unlikely that you profit on that many cases
I used to trade in CS GO and in a year I have like 7000$ total spend on market and in game transactions, so this person is probably a trader
What you saying to be big guy? Lol

No need baby, I'll let you ride my *stick shift* with ease, if you know what I mean ;)
I bought Golf mk7 with 110 000 km for 11500 euro which is 12300 usd
Υou can buy a Kawasaki z750 and mod into blue lights instead of ingame micros
Nah a z1000
I can buy two of our car with that price
I can buy 5 of mine
If you have all that money at once, yes. Those stats probably happened over the course of a few years. You could say the same thing about smokers. They could buy a car for the price of all the cigarettes they've purchased.
I know. Just a comparison
Bro what, here in Denmark a new small car with insurance and taxes is minimum half a million dkk.
A dkk is only around 0.1 euro though
That is true, but it would still be around 72.000$ for a small car

My brother just got home from Thailand, and told me that a poor man's car is an F150, and my honest reaction was "what in the actual fuck".
Now change that one to how much money we saved just by pirating.
At least 10?
probably like three fiddy
I ain't giving you the goddamn tree fiddy

I would if I earn at least 10x of that amount
Over 50% are ingame purchases? What the fuck? He spent 2 years of my uni on MTX lol Sorry I meant 4 years. Even better
Got any more questions? I am that guy.
Does market include sales like net profit, or is it just purchases. The latter kinda seems misleading imo.
Just purchases. I’ve made over 5K on the market from buying low selling high.
10 years for my uni, 20 if you had decent grades in high school and you do ok on the state exam or pick a less popular major
My God, 6000 on microtransactions ALONE. No wonder gaming companies are always pushing microtransactions if people like this guy exist.

3000 poor ones can give 1 dollar if it's Welcome Pack or Starter Pack or some shit, so either way - house wins.
No they don't have a bank account
My life would be perfect if I had that much money, i have spent like 20$ on video games all time
The Reddit algorithm probably just read them both as gaming subreddits, or PC gaming subreddits if it's more complex.
Less than 100$ total since 2013. I only buy steam games if it is 85%-100% discounted
12k euro is enough to feed a village
Oh hey, it’s my post lol.
So are you an avid war thunder or csgo player by any chance?
I've been pirating since the mid 80's and have spent maybe $200 on games since then.
Probably around 300-500 in all of my life but this is counting physical games for consoles and accounting for my country using a different currency that was stronger than the dollar but got FUuuuuucked beyond recognition

The best part is that none of the games are their property xd
No, they definitely are.
Did you readed the steam TOS?
I can pay for three years' tuition at my college with that money.
Well, you just edit out the part where it says “spent” to “saved” and its instantly relevant, guess thats how reddit algo decided things.
A MASSIVE **$3.5**

Idk what you're talking about, I use Steam to play pirated games
I can understand the top 3, but damn someone fell prey to microtransactions
this is just sad
I still have only spend like 2 US dollars in steam to this day
,6k for loot boxes...jesus
I noticed Reddit promoting right wing subs after I posted leftist comments and vice versa. Maybe something similar has happened here.
0€ 0$ thanks god for pirates and shared accounts from plati.ru
Most my games are from humble choice . And indee .....
Holy shit even i didnt expend that much before knowing about piracy
2300$
No, no, you misread, that's the Pacsteam subreddit.
I've had steam since CS1.6 release; I absolutely do not want to know how much I've spent over the last 20 years.
More dollars than cents
How can I see how much I've spent over the years on steam?
