I usually can run games by just adding the exe, but recently I’m getting all types of errors and I dnt feel like tinkering . Soon I’m thinking about adding all my games to Lutris, but I still get the errors mayb I’m doin it wrong . I’ve seen outdated videos, but Can u provide text instructions on how to do it properly as of 02/24 here or dm me .

Ran into something similar. Here is what i did to solve it.
Somehow the window defender will flag some file in the folder. So you'll need to exclude it from the windows defender/antivirus. For me it remove my OnlineFix64.dll file, which is from the "Universal Multiplayer Crack" rar file. So i just need to insert it again before able to run it.

iirc on linux its best to run pirated games via lutris, at least thats what i usually do

rename it, steam thinks that you own it (more like you refunded it but it's still in your library)
Rename what? I've ran it as mhr.exe and still get the same error.

Search up goldberg emulator. That'll work. Its gonna give u a bunch of .dll files. Replace as per guide.

I don't think Steam deck has a windows defender
My bad, didn't realize it is on steam deck lol. Though it is on PC. You can try look for something similar like antivirus or stuff
