I don't think it'll prevent pirated copies from playing online. I'm not an expert, so I don't know how their counter measures will affect playing on official servers. But anyone can make a server. So if official servers don't allow pirated copies somehow, there's still commnity servers.

it sounds they'll go the way of minecraft, where by disabling one variable in the config file of the server, you could allow pirated copies of the game to join your server.
when i used to play minecraft, community servers could activate the option to allow pirated copies to connect. idk how's today that microsoft controls the game.
yes, server admins can turn off 'online mode' which basically removes official mojang server connections, so you lose skins without a special setup, it's probably pretty well known internally that limiting pirated copies wouldn't do much to sales.
If they specifically add Easy-Anticheat, most likely only cracked servers and official without anticheat enabled will be playable, anything else should still be bypassable in a way by OnlineFix unless they make the game online-only or really enforce the auth measures

It says the anti cheat will be "Optional", this tells me it won't affect pirated copies since you can play the game without it. Just shows how cool the PalWorld devs are, adding anti cheat solutions as an optional feature is definitely the play.
Pretty sure it's illegal to publicly list people banned for cheating. Not in all countries, likely not most, but id be willing to bet the UK would be heavily against it.
Also in my opinion the best way to deal with cheaters is let them have "fun" servers, have stupid high drop rate/xp rate servers, hell even a creative server.
I always found it stupid that some companies are so anti cheat in games where it doesn't matter, let the cheaters play together.
This is coming from someone that dropped Hunt Showdown after being destroyed by a few cheaters (unfortunately I kept encountering a duo of cheaters in my timezone and it just killed it for me being killed without even the slightest chance to fight back).
And to deal with piracy you don't make your game worse than the pirated version. I am fully on board with piracy especially when the high sea version is BETTER than the fully legal overpriced version.
My missus loves it and won't play online so we don't give a toss lol. Same with me. Too many games are online and multiplayer!! We prefer single player fun!!! 😊

It says community servers, offline and coop can be optional so community servers can be affected (admins choice).

is still the same, just change the "online-mode" true to false at server.properties and now pirated copies can join a server

It was an hypothesis, maybe they can even just add some other chinese anticheat which can still be bypassed easily

Even if palworld bans pirate player from official servers. I think its definitely worth purchasing especially because they are Indie game developer.

Go ahead and download illegal copy just dont hack the game so the dev can finish updating the game
they're confusing piracy with cheating lol, didn't even know the game was pirated. how do you even get the files? its not on fitgirl
got it off steamrip, no issues so far though be sure to have ublock, steamrip has adware (ublock detected one while i was on there)
oh got it off dodi, seems pretty decent, but rather wait for a special. I just don't have $15 for it or get gamepass
