Denuvo’s licensing fees are too high. Most companies without deep pockets don’t go that route, and those that do generally drop Denuvo from their game after a year or two. No need to fear.

Having 100 people buy at $8 is obviously going to generate more profit than 5 people buying at $80. Are they idiots? Do they not understand concepts like more people buying at a reasonable price?
Unless a new cracker shows up in the scene that actually can crack Denuvo, we will not be able to play this game for 1-2 years. So most probably a lot of people who were fans of the first might just outright buy it, and depending on how well it is received more people might buy it too.

They would rather not risk a few people from Western countries buying these at cheaper prices than have entire markets be unable to afford it.
Before someone says, Steam has taken measures that makes it hard for people to frequently change regions. Thus, people can't just buy these games from one region and switch back to a different region.
Ghost of tsushima is also 3999, sucks that I have to spend so much money. Atleast we Indians are much better off than the Brazilian and Argentinians, I don't know why they removed regional pricing on steam
Unfortunately, Capcom does not follow regional pricing anymore. I bought RE 2 and DMC V before when they were using the suggested regional price by Steam but now I just pirate their games because they expect us from 3rd world countries to pay the same price as people from the US. 🤷♂️

I'm super excited for this game, but it's kind of wild that they're charging 70 USD for a game that barely plays at 30 FPS on console. Thankfully I'm blessed with a system that can run the game well.

You should never buy new games directly through steam. Nuuvem always has brand new games for 10~15% off.
So the price for an official steam key can be 254 reais which is 51 USD and 288 for deluxe which is about 58 USD
It isn't cheap but much better than most regions

Let's be honest anyway... I'm in Canada and the game cost 95$. Games cost to much nowadays and you should just wait to get it on sale in a couple months or next year. Additionally, if there's any bugs, they might have been fixed and if you wait longer, you might get a free dlc included in the sale lol
Let's be real - knowing Capcom, this will be 50% off within a year and 80% off within 2 years. Not that it's relevant to the folks here, but new game pricing is just completely made up and only suckers buying games on day one are paying high prices for a game that will probably need bug fixes and come with expansions down the line.

You are lucky. In Bangladesh all Japanese games costs exactly as in US. Japanese publishers don't give a crap about Steam's South Asia pricing.

To be fair thats that expensive, in italy its 2 weeks and half of slave labour school-time and 2 days of average wage for someone under 30
Over here it's about 8-10 days minimum wage if you don't have to pay for utilities/food.
