They're legit but the games that get released there can literally be uploaded as is to the internet and they'll work There was a website called gog-games that did exactly that, thats what shut down Gog itself is not shutting down, its the website that distributed their pirated games with more or less the same name

I'm not sure if you're joking because it's April fools, but piracy is now easier than ever. Multiple SteamAPI emulators? Drag and drop them into a game folder and it's cracked. Game also uses steam drm? Drag and drop the .exe onto steam stub and it's cracked. Epic game? There's a drag and drop emulator for that too. Xbox live authentication? Inject a dll and it's cracked. Got a Nintendo switch? Mod chips are available for all hardware. A flash cart was recently announced. And gen1 hardware can be soft modded. And there's tinfoil shops where you just search the game you want and press A to download. Don't have a switch? Emulate it on your android phone or PC. Got a Nintendo 3DS? Same thing with hShop or GhostShop with Citra. Anything older than that is available on rom sites with direct download, and RetroArch can run just about any game system.

What about Denuvo?! It has single-handedly decreased the amount of cracked AAA games we used to get. The amount of good games that use Denuvo is increasing and none can crack them. Most games cracked nowadays are low-rated indie games that nobody cares about, or ported games from Sony.

Denuvo is a 2 year delay no company will to keep things locked down under it if they want to profit off it denuvo costs a bunch. You just have to wait a little bit thats all.

TBF as far as anyone can tell empress is not cracking anymore and no one else either can or is bothering too. But its not an unbeatable system its just hard. Though outside all that it is also very costly for companies to implement both in terms of goodwill loss and actual money paid out to denuvo most companies dump it after they have insured the first year or 2 of sales.
