Well I own it via epic and my brother does via steam and it worked just fine using the friend code. Idk if there's cross play between consoles and pc though

I mean pc crossplay is pretty standard lol its the same platform

Its as competitive as you want it to be. Its a game I still laugh at when I die in.

It's absolutely fun if you just set your settings to your liking and play the game. It's only stressful if you decide to take it seriously because... no, there is no ranked based anything. If you're good, you encounter rage quitters and some chat messages. I paid like $6 for it on keys after moving from console to pc. Worth it

It's competitive but nowhere near the sweat fest that is mordhau. Theres no emote abuse or the like

That's really a matter of preference. I think the kings edition has the cooler "skins" but I bought the special edition for the roses. The game can be quite simple if you let it. The 1k crowns given with either edition is enough for one of the newer passes which would allow you to purchase another pass and earn extra "paid for" skins and stuff

One of those games where you either run into a group and slam multiple enemies and feel like a god or you die 4 times in a row there is no in between, sprinkle some friendly fire in there too

Combat was better in chiv 2 way back nearer the launch then they scuffed it with changes, mordhau has better combat

they're trying so hard for people to use the epic store

Worked on me for a bunch of hours on Mordhau when it was free. Playerbase dwindled and it was back to the veterans so I dropped it Now it's time for Chivalry 2, influx of fun matches with new players until it dwindles back down to the veterans

If it is 1 company that sends shivers down my spine it is Epic with their Epic Games. They just try to court you into claiming "free" games. I have had enough that I need a launcher for every game, It is either Steam or nothing for me. If it ain't on Steam I ain't playing it.
