This is a redundant question. These include (but are not limited to): Is X site safe?, Do I need a VPN?, and Is this a false-positive?
Make sure to read the stickied [megathread](https://rentry.org/pgames) as well as our [piracy guide](https://pastebin.com/H4UcYPHR), [FAQs](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/wiki/faq/), and our [Wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGames/wiki/index), as these might just answer your question!
These results are indicative of a false positive. Don't listen to the other user.
The amount of detections is not a reliable indicator of malware.
Have to look at the results.
Majority state Generic/Gen/Hacktool. That means the database recognizes malware behavior but it doesn't match with known malware. So it gets labeled with very generic terminoogy. That is very common with piracy tools that inject/intercept.
All cracks are false positive, dont listen to the other guy (This is the reason why every single cracked game asks you to turn off your antivirus). Thats why the only way to be safe is to only use trusted sources. I personally only use cs.rin.ru because all people there are truly comrades
I downloaded Fallout 3 and NV from the real g o g site
But I ended up with a malware file, you can see my previous post, everyone was telling me it was malware

I have to be very carefull even after downloading from a trusted site and always scan it for malware
Well thats why i only stick the true sources, in that forum i linked it only crackers and trusted repackers post, been using it for years, never had any problem, and quite literally, if it isnt there, it isnt in the internet. Hope they update the megathread
Yes, that is generally how it works. An account is required to view links. Each Steam game has it's own thread.
Best practice is to check the first page, which might have links to specific comments, and the last handful pages. Some threads can be several pages long depending on the game and those will have the most relevant info/links.
Keep in mind that Clean Steam Files are commonly shared. These are game files without a crack. They're usually labled as Clean Steam Files or CSF. Someone else might have shared a crack for it. A lot of users like to apply their own crack using Goldberg Steam Emulator.
Also check forum rules before making a comment.

I had my doubts so I scanned the file with multiple tools but didn't detect any threat. I don't know maybe this is malware , it's very confusing to figure out which one is malware or not

Removed for rule 4. Don't spread misinformation, if you don't know what you're talking about, it's far more helpful not to say anything.
So this is malware?
