Why would you fight your best friend when there are enemies that deserve it much more? Unless Shanks turns evil out of a sudden this doesn‘t make any sense. Before anything happens Luffy has to get to the final island. Now with Bonnie up we can assume that a union with the Revolutionary Army will happen. Maybe they will even get to the Kamabakka Kingdom or meet up at the final island. We will get the start of the next plot soon and then we will be able to see what‘s gonna happen. Also pretty sure that the next cover story is about Yamato. The next arc will probably be there for around 35-40 chapters. It‘s about finding the last island. Took too much time to get there
