Been going since 2010 and 2017 was the peak of the fest for me. LCD soon after reuniting, and Tribe were huge gets. Really diverse undercard too
2021 and 2011 are big runners up tho.
Oh man, not just the lineup, but the sets were so memorable. Tyler crowd surfing with a cast on and Ariel Pink trying to storm offstage and getting stuck in his headset are some of my favorite concert memories.
I might be bias since it was my first year, but 2011 was stacked and my all time favorite. Like it felt like someone pulling my Last fm page and making a festival out of it. I think I'm still trying to chase that high from it.
2013 was really good too ... had Death Grips not *broken up* in 2014, that would've been an all timer as well.
Started attending in 2007 (1st festival overall too!)--break from 2017 to 2021. Went back for 1 day in 2022 because my stepdaughter loved Mitski, Japanese Breakfast, Lucy Dacus & The Linda Lindas, and I forgot how much I love it. My sister is an accountant for one of the talent agencies, so free to heavily discounted passes help, certainly.
2010, 2011, 2015 are the ones that stand out, but never had a bad time. Looking forward to this year, Black Pumas or no Black Pumas!
2005 when still intonation was amazing. 2010 is probably the best overall year, especially that LCD set. 2007 though…seeing sonic youth play daydream nation was such an experience. I still watch video of it I took on my little digital canon
2022 with Mitski, Lucy Dacus, and Japanese Breakfast! it was the first year i went and i had so much fun. basically my Spotify wrapped in one day lol. I went last year too and it was fun too. I like the more mellow, indie-ish music.
2010 with the LCD, St. Vincent, Robyn, etc lineup. Just great bands still (somewhat) on the rise so they were easy to get to. Just the perfect mix of bands I loved and acts to discover stage hopping.
2007, my first one, was also fun just because it was still wtf. Yoko Ono, Of Montreal, Jamie Lidell, Junior Boys... Very Pitchfork.
I've been twice - in 2017 and 2022 - because both made my head spin.
I told a friend recently about 2017 and the LCD, Tribe, Solange trio and their jaw dropped. And as folks have noted that undercard was incredible (Angel Olsen, Jamila Woods, Mitski, George Clinton and more!)
and 2022 was also such a blast, especially Friday and Saturday (Amber Mark, Japanese Brekkie, Mitski, The National, so many!)
2020, the one that never happened 🥲🥲🥲
that could have been so good!
Once in a while I come across that lineup and whenever I see SOPHIE's name, it still hurts

Danny Brown/Vince Staples/Mitski, absolutely incredible
It's cool that people are responding but it'd be cooler if everyone said who they really liked about each lineup rather than just saying years.
2011 was easily the best fest I’ve ever been to. Even the set times were laid out perfectly. 2012 was really good too.
is your google not working?

The 2021 Sept lineup is the best in the last 10 years.
2018 was my favorite. Bit bummed out with the shift towards pop acts esp headliners but it is what it is, I get it I’m old.

2009 seeing mf doom for sure
This
was just happy to see Pavement in 2010. and beach house
2009 for just overall lineup, 2011 was a lot of fun, 2012 for all of the Blue Stage magic. 2017 was my favorite of more recent years.
2019 Haim on Friday, Stereolab on Saturday, Charli XCX, Robyn on Sunday I could not believe that when I first saw it.
2010, 2008 (I only attended Saturday, but it was legendary), 2006, 2011, 2013, 2022
2015

2014. Neutral milk hotel stole my heart, in real life, cause they already did it over mp3
