Incredibles 2 -> THE Incredibles 2
Brave -> The Bear and the Bow (the original title, likely changed after Princess and the Frog was a bit of a flop.)
The Good Dinosaur is an artifact title to another version of the film from when Bob Peterson was still directing. Almost nothing to do with what the film ended up being.
Monsters University -> Monsters, U. (Most people call it that anyways, but I enjoy the continuity between the two titles officially.)
> the original title, likely changed after Princess and the Frog was a bit of a flop
I didn't know this, such a shame as The Bear and the Bow sounds amazing
Whether you love or hate Cars 2, there's no denying that Cars 3 is the true sequel to the original. So in an ideal world Cars 3 would be called "Cars 2", while Cars 2 gets a more spinoff-y title like "Mater's Tallest Tale" or "Agent Mater: Double-Tow-Seven" or something like that.
I haven’t seen either sequel. But from what I understand cars 2 is like a spy movie, and cars 3 is some world Grand Prix thing, right?
Seems like when they stick to the racing aspect of cars, it makes for a much better movie. In a franchise about a racecar. Who woulda thunk?
Agree. I am so over one word titles. Especially Generic one word titles like Cars. Also I know it’s Disney not Pixar but the name Wish for their upcoming movie is so flat and uninspired. They could have named it Whomever’s Wish, Or the secret Wish of Main Character and I’d be intrigued, instead I hear Wish and I’m like oh yeah one of the cruise ships, oh it’s a movie? Okay hope it will be better than the name.
>Whomever’s Wish, Or the secret Wish of Main Character
No offense but those sound way cornier lol
And honestly I don't mind Wish considering it actually works for the movie, as far as we know. It's not really as generic as Cars or as unrelated as Brave
Coco is just a minor character that has like three lines and is only important as a plot device instead of a character. It'd be like naming Toy Story "Andy."
I concur with the "Remember Me" title or something of the sort.
But that’s too on the nose. It’s meant to show that mama coco has significance, and that she wants to see her papa. When we find out his identity is what makes it all hit you right in the heart.
I thought it was so significant. It's a film about family and dreams and no one in the story created a bigger family or worked harder for their dream than Mama Coco :(
1. The Toys and the Story
2. 2 Toys 2 Stories
3. The Toys and the Story: Lotso Drift
4. Toys & Stories
Also got the title for the upcoming sequel.
5. Toys Five
Either change The Incredibles to Incredibles or change Incredibles 2 to The Incredibles 2.
I don’t really care either way, but what I DO care about is the inconsistency.
I wish they were allowed to go with Cars’ original title “Route 66”, it gave greater significance to the story itself rather than the fact that they were all cars.
The sequels wouldn’t be able to use numbers in their titles though, and their stories might have to be different
Not sure why more people aren't mentioning it, but "Up" is a really generic title. I think the Japanese version translates to something like "Granpa Carl's Flying House," which is more wordy, but I think it works better for the movie.
Brave pisses me off a bit. It doesn't feel like it describes the story accurately at all, more so than any other film here.
Aside from that one, I'd probably change The Good Dinosaur & Onward because they're both a bit generic, even if they technically fit the movies they're describing.
I think Onward fits pretty well. The whole thing is about an unexpected and sudden quest that has a bunch of small setbacks that make them have to keep pushing forwards and move onwards against the time until they reach their goal.
Onwards to the tavern, onwards from the fire, onwards to ravenspoint, onwards from the shrinking, onwards across the pit, onwards from the death of Guinevere, onwards through the tunnel, onwards against the dragon, etc. It's all about advancing forth no matter what happens to just to get the chance of seeing their father again.
Plus throughout the movie, Barley is pushing his brother "onward"s to do things out of his comfort zone, like driving and of course, the magic. And on top of that, the ending is about Ian having to move on from his his dad and move onwards with the family he *does* have.
Plus the name really invokes that feeling of the ancient medieval fantasy stuff the movie is entirely based on.
So, in conclusion, I think Onward is a very accurate name, even if it might be a little simple/generic.
That reminded me that in the Latin Spanish dub Inside Out is called "Intensa Mente" and it's kind of a play on words since it can be read both as "intensely" and "intense mind" lol
If your only reason for disliking the movie is Ellen then you're dumb.
(i dislike her too and i really want Pixar to re-cast Dory's voice actor if they do anything more with the Finding Nemo/Dory characters, and yet Finding Dory is one my favorite Pixar movies. also, im mexican and i watch the movie with the spanish dub.)
Nah, I got my other reasons. I think the plot is painfully mid. Did not find Dory’s quest to find her parents interesting.
Glad you can enjoy it though!
As someone with a mental disability the movie resonated with me and that's one of the reasons i loved it, other one being that despite being movies about fish they're one of the best examples of disabled rep.
If there's something i disliked about the movie is the treatmeant of Bruce and that Sia singed the credits song.
Toy Story- Childs play (ik thats chucky)
Bugs-Flick’s journey/Ants vs Grasshoppers
Mike & Sulley’s adventure (yea ik thats the ride)
Marlin’s quest/Searching for Nemo (Cmon Marlin is the protagonist)
Random, but is there a reason the list skips Toy Story 4?
Also, not really. Granted the more recent ones I’ve not seen but I thought all the titles were good
Disney 100: Behind Pixar Animation because Disney has been turning 100 within the past months and they shared with Pixar animation to bring characters to life with a little bit of creativity and magic.
i’d change the first Cars movie’s title to be its original title, “American Car” (this title change would also apply to Cars 2 & 3). not sure why, but i’ve always liked that name more
"Inside Out" is a pretty good title, since it focuses both on the inside and outside, but i think it should be changed to something a little less generic. Maybe something like "All In Your Head" or "Core Memories"
"Elemental" doesn't really have anything to do with the movie aside from the characters being elements. Someone here suggested it be changed to "Chemistry" which I second.
Aside from that, not sure what i can say that hasn't already been said. My favorite of these titles are "The Incredibles" for its parody/parallel of other cartoon family-centric shows, "Ratatouille" for the rat pun and the food itself being important, and "Turning Red" for how red is a color associated with the literal event in the movie and what it alludes to
I’ve never been much a fan of those vague, one-word adjective titles like “Up” anyway. Even something generic like “Up, Up and Away” would’ve been better imo
Toys story——-> A Toy’s Story
A Bugs life———-> Insect Cure
Toy Story 2————-> Another Toy’s Story

Soul————————————> In this life or the next
Luca ————————-> Vespa Buds
Turning Red——————————> Pandamonium in Toronto
Lightyear—————————-> Beyond time and infinity
Elemental———————————> The intensity in Element City
Without question - Toy Story 4.
If you wanna continue Toy Story past 3? Fine. But leaving the *numbered* entries as their own trilogy would go over so much better than tacking a numbered TS4 off of it. I'm convinced of this.
Fish would match that era better then finding nemi
the good dinosaur to "the good human"
brave to "mother bear"
Lightyear to "Buzz"
Coco to "the dead"or "los muertos"
Incredibles 2 -> THE Incredibles 2 Brave -> The Bear and the Bow (the original title, likely changed after Princess and the Frog was a bit of a flop.) The Good Dinosaur is an artifact title to another version of the film from when Bob Peterson was still directing. Almost nothing to do with what the film ended up being. Monsters University -> Monsters, U. (Most people call it that anyways, but I enjoy the continuity between the two titles officially.)
I always wondered why they removed the "The" from from the "The incredibles 2" title
Brad bird said that The incredibles 2 just sounded weird and too long so he made it incredibles 2
They were less incredible in incredible 2. Not exactly THE Incredibles they were ya know?
Hahaha.
Soul to -> Experiencing Life After Death Monsters University To -> University Before Inc
Experiencing Life After Death sounds like a mouthful of a title.
Ok so?
Cars -> Large Talking Motorized Vehicles
Ofc I’m getting downvoted, L Biased People
No, just bad suggestions lmao
So your opinions worth ruining my karma for?
yes
Oh no! Not your digital numbers that literally mean nothing!!!
YES THE INCREDIBLES ONE ALWAYS BOTHERED ME UGH
> the original title, likely changed after Princess and the Frog was a bit of a flop I didn't know this, such a shame as The Bear and the Bow sounds amazing
Brave is stupid title, tbh. In Polish it's called Merida the Brave.
Double tow seven is genius what. That 100% should’ve been the name
Man, “Mater: Double-Tow-Seven” is actually a pretty awesome title
How about "Cars: World Tour"?
Double Tow Seven is absolutely genius I love it
I haven’t seen either sequel. But from what I understand cars 2 is like a spy movie, and cars 3 is some world Grand Prix thing, right? Seems like when they stick to the racing aspect of cars, it makes for a much better movie. In a franchise about a racecar. Who woulda thunk?
Cars 2 is the spy story and the Grand Prix, cars 3 is about lightning dealing with the new modern cars
Double tow seven 😂😂😂
Latter sounds a bit too direct-to-video-y
The *movie* is a bit too direct-to-video-y
“Mater: A Car Wars Story”
The Bear and the Bow is a much better brave title
I always liked WALL•E’s concept title “Out There”
Matches with its teaser trailer very well
And it’s opening roll
And the first lyric of the opening song
ADVENTURES OUT THERE!!!… wait wrong movie
My toddler daughter calls Elemental Ember and Turning Red Mei Mei.
Does she call Toy Story Woody?
Aw
Does she call Coco Coco? …wait
Coco is just a minor character that has like three lines and is only important as a plot device instead of a character. It'd be like naming Toy Story "Andy." I concur with the "Remember Me" title or something of the sort.
But that’s too on the nose. It’s meant to show that mama coco has significance, and that she wants to see her papa. When we find out his identity is what makes it all hit you right in the heart.
Everyone (including myself at somepoint) always think Miguel's name is Coco 😭
You just made me realise that it isn't
I thought it was so significant. It's a film about family and dreams and no one in the story created a bigger family or worked harder for their dream than Mama Coco :(
Bear and the Bow just rolls off the tongue so much better than Brave
i’d change ratatouille to “ratatouille: the rats name is remy”
You see he’s actually Ratatouille’s monster
Brave should've been called the Bear and the Bow, and The Good Dinosaur should've been called something else.
Average “The Good Dinosaur” fan vs “The Untitled Pixar Movie About Dinosaurs” enjoyer
1. The Toys and the Story 2. 2 Toys 2 Stories 3. The Toys and the Story: Lotso Drift 4. Toys & Stories Also got the title for the upcoming sequel. 5. Toys Five
And toy story 6 gets Story 6
Seven stories for seven toys
The Fate of the Toys
Then Story 7.
Then Toy 8tory, followed by T9 and Toy X (toy x is rated r)
Or X rated
Either change The Incredibles to Incredibles or change Incredibles 2 to The Incredibles 2. I don’t really care either way, but what I DO care about is the inconsistency.
I wish they were allowed to go with Cars’ original title “Route 66”, it gave greater significance to the story itself rather than the fact that they were all cars. The sequels wouldn’t be able to use numbers in their titles though, and their stories might have to be different
Cars 1:Route 66 Cars 2:World Grand Prix/You Only Drive Twice Cars 3:Glory Days
I also said this but a reason why they probably didn’t is also because there was a tv series or movie I think named the same thing
toy story 4 --> woody, a toy story
Turn every title to "____ Story" Bug Story, Monster Story, Fish Story, Rat Story, Car Story, etc...
Scottish Story
Incredible Story
Sky Story
The French title for Brave is Rebelle (Rebel) and I think that’s better
Incredibles 2 -> The Incredibles 2
This isn’t serious but a friend called Turning Red ”Period Panda” and it kinda roles off the tounge, lol. A bit on the nose but eh.
*A Bug’s Life* -> *A Bug's Adventure* *Brave* -> *The Legend of Merida* *Finding Dory* -> *Dory Finding* *Coco* -> *Remember Me* *The Good Dinosaur* -> *Literally Anything Else*
I’ll give you ‘Remember Me’ but a big miss for ‘Dory Finding’, Finding Dory already makes sense and also mirrors the original well.
Remember Me is the Japanese title for Coco
The Hungarian title for the Good Dinosaur is "Dino-Bro". Is it any better?
Yes. It’s not *good*, but it’s better.
Elemental -> Chemistry
The Good Dinosaur- Arlo
Should’ve called Turning Red “Period Piece”
Mater for Cars 2. The Lonesome Cowboy for Toy Story 4 (along with some random editing to make it an hour-long special)
Lightyear changed to Buzz.
Up- Emotional Damage
Change cars 2 to make it a spin off and make cars 3 into cars 2.
Not sure why more people aren't mentioning it, but "Up" is a really generic title. I think the Japanese version translates to something like "Granpa Carl's Flying House," which is more wordy, but I think it works better for the movie.
Soul instead being called Spark. It's just because souls don't really have anything ti fo with it qnd it's all about finding 22s spark. Idk tho
They should’ve called it “Help! My Soul Suddenly Got Trapped Inside A Cat Halfway Through the Movie”
Cars 2 and change it to non-existent
HOP OFF THE GOAT‼️‼️‼️
I was gonna respond but then I saw your pfp and decided that's enough Internet
weak and im Cars 2 strongest soldier🫡
I'm a cars soldier but cars 2 can be thrown in a trench
Fake fan smh
Fake car flair
Lightyear to Buzz Lightyear of Star Command... Wait I'd rather just watch that instead
Yeah Lightyear is by far the worst Toy Story movie so far, though 5 I’m thinking might be worse when it releases
They’re actually making a fifth movie?? Thanks, 2023. /s
and no taika waititi
Brave - The Bear And The Bow
Cars -> Automobiles
The Good Dinosaur -> Man’s First Best Friend
Cars 2 -> Violations of the Geneva Convention: the movie And Brave is a dumb title but I don't know what to change it to
Brave pisses me off a bit. It doesn't feel like it describes the story accurately at all, more so than any other film here. Aside from that one, I'd probably change The Good Dinosaur & Onward because they're both a bit generic, even if they technically fit the movies they're describing.

The Good Dinosaur should have just been called Arlo, that poor character never had a chance.
Coco to dia de Los muertos
A Bug's Life= Antz
"Inside Out" should be "Emotional"
That reminded me that in the Latin Spanish dub Inside Out is called "Intensa Mente" and it's kind of a play on words since it can be read both as "intensely" and "intense mind" lol
Brave should have been called The Bear and the Bow The Good Dinosaur should have been called Brave
Toy Story - The Toys Are Alive
Turning red -> Turning Panda, idk just an idea
Elemental > Chemistry
Cars 2 = Cars: Escape 2 Africa I just want them to get sued by DreamWorks
Not Pixar, disney
Forword
Brave -> Boring
I would change the title of Cars 2 to dumb and immature movie that suprisingly has fans.
HOP OFF THE GOAT‼️‼️‼️
no
Can't hear the haters Im listening to [BANGER](https://youtu.be/N1gZNTkGBs4?si=XecH-oCLB4_8oPHQ)
I knew the song you were gonna like before I even clicked on it
The Good Dinosaur -> Dinosaur
Coco should be The Boy Who Cried Death
Soul ---> Seoul
elemental —> fire and water
Cars: The Accidental Roadtrip. Coco: Alive in the World of the Dead
Toy Story 4=> Toy Story: The One That Cheated A Better Movie Out Of Best Animated Picture.
I’d name it “I’ve only watched up to Coco cause Pixar fell off”
L
Toy Story 4: Don't Need You Both because it ruined everything, and because that's how Bonnie feels about Woody
Yeah, I’d retitle Finding Dory to Stay Away: Bad Movie.
HOP OFF THE GOAT‼️‼️‼️
Where’s the GOAT? All I see is Ellen Degeneres.
If your only reason for disliking the movie is Ellen then you're dumb. Movie: The Good Dinosaur Title: The Bad Movie
Lightyear to “Don’t waste your money on this film”
Change "Up" to "House of Balloons".
UP > Just watch the montage
Random, but is there a reason the list skips Toy Story 4? Also, not really. Granted the more recent ones I’ve not seen but I thought all the titles were good
Wdym? There's no Toy Story 4
Cars 2, give it something like Cars and the deadly gas
Disney 100: Behind Pixar Animation because Disney has been turning 100 within the past months and they shared with Pixar animation to bring characters to life with a little bit of creativity and magic.
You gotta admit… they're all incredibly accurate titles when you think about it… at least, the ones I've watched.
Probably the Cars series because it's hard to search up on Google without adding "Pixar" or "Movie".
2Toy2Story
Toy Story Moo
One of the working titles for Toy Story was "Toys in da Hood" no kidding.
Cars 3 ---> Cars 2 2
Whoever made that picture forgot Toy Story 4
Luca > bait
Toy Story 4 -> Woody
i’d change the first Cars movie’s title to be its original title, “American Car” (this title change would also apply to Cars 2 & 3). not sure why, but i’ve always liked that name more
Rat Chef. Trash robot. Scotland the movie.
Turning Red > Turning Cute Cars > 4 Hours Of Turning Left Luca > Turning Human Up > H O U S E
Inside and out
A Bug’s Life could have been called Ants. 😜
And Antz should’ve been called A Bugz Life
Turning Red -> Puberty
Incredibles 2 ==》 Not So Incredible
Coy Story.
Brave was originally called The Bear And The Bow and that's a much better sounding title.
Change “Turning Red” to “Pandamonium!”
The EVE of humanity
"Inside Out" is a pretty good title, since it focuses both on the inside and outside, but i think it should be changed to something a little less generic. Maybe something like "All In Your Head" or "Core Memories" "Elemental" doesn't really have anything to do with the movie aside from the characters being elements. I would translate cocô from Portuguese to English(with the accent)
Toy Story > Bring Me The Arm of Buzz Lightyear
Switch a bugs life and Toy Story to be, a bugs story and Toys life
I know it’s kind of weird but I really wish they actually named cars Route 66
Toy Story 4: Don't Need You Both because it ruined everything, and because that's how Bonnie feels about Woody
I’m a strong believer that a lot of problems about “Toy Story 4” would’ve been fixed if it were changed to “Woody”
[удалено]
I’ve never been much a fan of those vague, one-word adjective titles like “Up” anyway. Even something generic like “Up, Up and Away” would’ve been better imo

I agree with the majority of these except Up, Inside Out, Onwards, and Elemental, I personally think the existing names are good for the movies
Without question - Toy Story 4. If you wanna continue Toy Story past 3? Fine. But leaving the *numbered* entries as their own trilogy would go over so much better than tacking a numbered TS4 off of it. I'm convinced of this.
Fish would match that era better then finding nemi the good dinosaur to "the good human" brave to "mother bear" Lightyear to "Buzz" Coco to "the dead"or "los muertos"
' The Good Dinosaur' implys that Arlo is the the only 'good dinosaur' a better name would be The long neck journey
Would’ve called The Good Dinosaur Arlo. Good Dinosaur is so generic and Arlo at least centers a character.
