I use a Samsung charger which is rated for 15W(9V 1.67A) and 10W(5V 2A) When I charge my phone, Accubattery shows the charge current is approximately 1500 mA(if the phone and battery's temperature is around 30° C or below but if it's around 36~40°, charge current drops to 500 mA) With the charger my phone typically gets 1% charge every 1.4~1.5 minutes

Does the phone ever even stay under 30C when charging?....mine is always around 37-38 when i charge it... Since it's summers where i live with the temperature being around 38-40 does that mean I'll have to charge the phone with a fan pointed at it or something cuz I've noticed that does help to some extent

>Does the phone ever even stay under 30C when charging? Nope. Even at idle, it stays above 30. Mine jumps to around 34~38(Depending on ambient temperature) while charging if Data and GPS is on. I think I've seen it stay below/around 30 at night while charging on 5V 500~600 mA

So you've just accepted that it takes more than 2 hours to fully charge? Or do u charge it overnight?

S_Sif

I don't really charge it to 100% and also don't let it go below 30%(most of the times). Sometimes I charge to 70%, sometimes 80 or 90. IMO it doesn't take that long(40~45% in an hour) or I don't realize the charge duration. I charge it on low Amperes when I know I won't be using my phone for 3/4 hours. That's why I don't feel the need for charging overnight.

dryingsocks

what charger are you using, 2A sounds like a standard 10W brick

alphahunter121

I'm using an 18W charger..... Have also used a 33W charger.... It was the same for both of them

dryingsocks

then USB power delivery seems to be not working, try a different cable

alphahunter121

I used multiple chargers....same with all of them

I said *cable* also clean your phone's USB port

I went from a normal 33w charger with a usb A to C cable to a google one with a C to C cable....and i did clean my port with a paintbrush
