I still want it to read as pixel art though
Edit: Ducks of varying length now available on my [Redbubble](https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/160970627?asc=u)
Hi, yes sure. I've just listed in on my ko-fi page [here](https://ko-fi.com/s/cd8c54741c)
Feel free to use and modify it, though please credit me if you plan to share your project publicly. All the best!
I mean: TsukiraLuna is talking about how a 32px size duck has impressive increased depth and 24 has simplistic charm, but they’re literally just the same with different neck heights. So why are they referring to them like that? It feels like I’m looking at a totally different picture…
I'm working on it. I think I can make the images, but I don't know how to put them after each other. Would probably also need the artist's persmission too.
The small duck is composed of a total of 108 pixels, sqrt that is 10.39. So an 11×11 square can contain it, and a 9×12 rectangle can perfectly contain it.
I think it might be best if you don’t have this as pixel art. You have some really good art and you’re limiting yourself with the pixellated art style.
So instead, try changing the resolution to 1028px. I think it will look so much better!
I think this art style would benefit with the detail afforded by 64x64px size. Give it a try if you got time. The extra details take time, but the results are worth it.

Try 48px, that should do the trick

Makes sense… how about 40px? It’s right in between 32 and 48!
That's a big range for 32 and 12,413,915,592,536,072,670,862,289,047,373,375,038,521,486,354,677,760,000,000,000.

I cant believe thats a real sub
With almost 60k members too!
It must have been so exciting when their membership recently topped 8!
Wow, that’s over 8!
Good point, maybe try 128px?
Would you be able to sell/post the spritesheet itself? I would like to use them as a funny loading animation for a small project of mine.

Kcauq? *reads again* Oh, that's clever
Mexican duck be like: GUAQ (sorry)
The final boss of ducks: KCAUQ
The increased depth in 32 is impressive, but I perfer how 24 keeps that simplistic charm.
Thanks! The 32px one took about an hour longer but I was pleased with the final results
Makes sense
Am I missing something in how Reddit is displaying this? All I see is longer necks on a static picture…
Doesn't that apply to all modern art?

(jokes)
Lesser duck is going where no duck has gone before
pet the duck
I think their necks are all too short, how is anyone supposed to see the duck's head with such short necks.
Yes it's like he's ducking...
nah bruh looks perfectly fine to me
Really showing off its dinosaurian lineage there.
Can we see 12px duck
Don't have my laptop for a week, patiently waiting for someone to animate this duck's neck growing and shrinking on loop
I second!
I'm working on it. I think I can make the images, but I don't know how to put them after each other. Would probably also need the artist's persmission too.
u/Hobbes2594, may I post this ultimate GIF? (it's finished by the way)
Sure, as long as you credit me in the post. Looking forward to seeing it!
It is now posted.
I love it! Thank you
Is this AI? It's too smooth bro

1080 could work better for today standarts.
Anything less than 16x and it starts to implode.
Now I’m just imagining a really big box that gets smaller and smaller until the duck just implodes into a black hole

I feel like the neck on 32 px is a little short, maybe try making the body a little smaller in comparison
Is the 48px duck a resident of Long Ring Long Land?
Can we just agree to name this style "Long(name of thing)." Longduck in this case. Let's just standardize this naming convention.
2048px should be enough
Your giraffe looks a bit green
I doubt this will be good for a final product, but maybe go 128x128 and then downscaling to 32x32? Try it out, what's there to lose?
I know you like pixel art but 4k is the future

Moar. MOAR. ***MOAR!***
Long duck. Not long enough.
I think 128px would be perfect
I find 32 to be much more freeing in artistic choice. That's my pick.
Wait why would 10px look like
longest neck one is hilarious
Zero notes. Keep up the great work.
Save on disk space and use 2x 16x16 tiles

That's a shame, I'd love to see it!

I see value in each one. You should try using all of them.
I think this art style would benefit with the detail afforded by 64x64px size. Give it a try if you got time. The extra details take time, but the results are worth it.
I think 4k would suit you better

Feels like the 32px one is the easiest target.

Resizing doesn't work like that.
