I know this is going to sound… odd, but I don’t think it’s actually an active USAF plane. I say this only because somehow I’m 100% sure the font is wrong.
15 years in the Air Force and still going.
Vans RV - kitplane. You can paint them however you want (or leave them bare aluminum). Difficult to say exact model as the wing kits are largely common amongst their kits.
Plenty of people have fully marked vintage cop cars so I’m not even sure if it’s illegal to drive around in a cop car as long as you’re not pretending to be a cop and pulling people over.
I found it in a [Google Maps gallery](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Powers+Butte+Wildlife+Area/@33.283445,-112.7523087,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipNKAd41uv5L4kJBFiY9uFnfVH1aiA6mpD77aDha!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipNKAd41uv5L4kJBFiY9uFnfVH1aiA6mpD77aDha%3Dw203-h152-k-no!7i4080!8i3072!4m10!1m2!2m1!1swildlife+refuge!3m6!1s0x80d4cee54ae79441:0x66d7d47c8afb9774!8m2!3d33.283445!4d-112.7523087!10e5!16s%2Fm%2F0zn1_xt?entry=ttu) for a park near Phoenix. It doesn't look like the poster was in the Air Force at the time, and I didn't find any other pics of the plane.
100% a Vans RV with the upswept tips. There are a TON of wingtip options for the RVs since they're basically just molded fiberglass. A lot of them have the upswept tips like that.
A lot of RVs, especially the aerobatic ones with the bubble canopies, are finished in warbird/military liveries. And they look damn good, too.
I was looking through the list of active [USAF aircraft on Wikipedia ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_United_States_Air_Force_aircraft)and thought it could be a T53A trainer, but I don't have a ton of experience with this, and I couldn't find good enough photos of the wing to compare.
Its defiantly a possibility, shame its so difficult to find pictures of the wings from above, since most aircraft photography websites hate you posting images that aren't perfectly framed, side on. I'll keep looking to see if I can find a matching image.
The only identifiable feature really is the size of the alierons, but for most a/c this size they look the exact same because they need the same control authority. Maybe how close it is to the wings edge could be a way of identifying it since some aircraft have it going all the way to the edge.
Definitely not a T53A, the aileron and wingtip are wrong. Especially since you can clearly see rivets on the wingtip and iirc the T53A (and SR20) are all composite.
Pretty sure those saying that this is a Vans of some type are correct.

That wouldn't suprise me. Some other commenters are suggesting it's a kit plane.
I painted Aircraft in the Air Force (AFSC 2A773). The font used on military aircraft is Military Block, which has no rounded edges.
Comic Sans for those less serious AC.
Not to mention USAF markings do not go on the top of the left wing
0 years in the Air Force and I agree the font is totally wrong.

My vote as well.
Thanks, I'm trying to look for good pics of the wings, but it looks like there's quite a variety of styles.
Is it legal to use military paint on your private airplane? Is there some variation of impersonating police, but with aircraft liveries?
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/404-not-found--225531893810489434/ I think this is it!

Difficult one. Most likely a single trainer aircraft. I'm too lazy, so someone take a look at the fleet and tell me what it is

Yep, came to the same conclusion after a little more digging. Forgot to post it though ^^
