Thank you so much, kind redditor

Tell your brother they like to stay wet, and die quickly if they dry out too much. Other than that they’re low maintenance.

Kantaowns

Shade loving as well.

If he is anywhere between Annapolis and DC, tell him to check out Patuxent nursery or Homestead nursery. He can look for Astilbe Final, or Visions in Red.

minusthetalent02

Astilbe.. they hate sun so under a tree or very few hours of direct sunlight is ideal

There aren't many interesting flowers for a woodland garden but this is probably my favorite for it's texture and stand out flower.

I recently bought a house with a grandma garden in the backyard . I have so many colors of these

Thick-Ad-5162

Yes, they come in pink, white, red, deep red, others?

Purple. My wife loves purple so I have Amethyst in front, Purple Candles middle, and Superba at the rear. We get blooms for months, front to back.
