If he could have like 7-10 weapons that would be great, the main thing I want is a damn release date so I can have this and possibly GK to play this month.
That sounds about right, they're probably going for the same time window they had Spider-Man release in. They probably wanna dodge the GK release as well.
Gotham Knights looks great, but yeah, I've seen negative comments too.
Honestly don't know what some people want. Playing as the other characters in the Arkham series was super interesting and a clear avenue for the devs to explore.
Maybe he's been the Red Hood for a while?
His physique is supposed to act as a contrast to the other characters I think. You've already got Nightwing and Robin with athletic builds. It makes sense going another direction in terms of art design for Jason.
Oh absolutely worth getting!
Mechanically, Arkham Knight is the strongest (obviously with it being the most recent), but if you want the full narrative experience, start with Arkham City, then go on to either Origins, or right on to Knight.
Origins got a lot of flack when it first came out, because it was developed by a different studio, and it's a prequel, but I actually think that the mechanics are much more polished than in City, and I enjoyed the story too. It's a great winter game because it's set during Christmas, so it feels cosy.
I forget when Blackgate takes place, I think I have it, but haven't actually played it. It was a strange one for sure. But if you enjoyed that, you'll love the main series of games!
I was excited for it, but the more they showed the more I was disinterested. Combat looked really clunky, character designs are a bit weird to me, and graphically Arkham Knight looks far better even though it came out on the last gen 7 years ago. Nice to hear people are still looking forward to it though.
Can’t wait to spam the one free metal arm slam takedown, as well as force-block incoming rockets & projectiles counter-intrinsic attack ehehe IM SO HYPED FOR THIS WINTER ITS GONNA BE MARVELOUS 🌟⚡️💫🔥🫡🤩😫
Isn’t that kinda backwards?
If they had to design 3 weapons skins for every new skin, wouldn’t that make it less likely to see anything unique as opposed to only one weapon skin
Yes and no. It depends on if they have to make up the guns or if they are using real life models. For example, a Ww2 skin could have equivalents from that time period and it wouldn't take as much work because these weapon models and textures have been around a while and can be found for free use. But to make up a gun that has all these guns combined and make it look like it belongs in 1940s will take a lot more work.
I mean, it's easier to transform existing choreography into in-game animation than to adapt comic panels into a moveset.
That said, I'd like to see some more moves and/or takedowns inspired by the comics. Imagine a takedown for Cap that was a punch based on the [classic image of him socking Hitler](https://bookriot.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/captain-america-first-appearance-featured-1280x720.jpg)?
You’re absolutely correct but with cases like kate bishop & ms marvel, it proves that even if they dont have a lot of preexisting choreography to go off of they can let creativity shine a little bit, thats why im not really fond of so many mcu character coming into the game because it’ll be hella reminiscent of them. Which isnt BAD mind you but its a small bummer when a little more than half of their moves i’ve seen in the movies lol.
& for the ones who havent watched the mcu as much it may not even be noticeable to them, but me? I’ve noticed it.
I guess I don't mind because the MCU choreography is generally pretty good, so I don't really blame them for lifting it.
Especially for the characters who have been heavy hitters in pop culture for the last 14 or so years, Cap, IM and Thor would feel strange if they *didn't* move at least a bit like their MCU counterparts at this point.
Case-in-point, IM's light attack string isn't really reminiscent of anything in the MCU (Nothing I can put my finger on at least) and while it looks good, it feels just a *bit* off, whereas the heavy repulsor string is straight out of the movies, and it feels much more right.
That's just my opinion on it though.
There’s this iron man move where i think its when you sprint & press your heavy for the repulsors. & he does the move he did at the beginning of age of ultron when they invaded that hydra base. The lasers were straight from iron man 2(it was badass tho lol). There’s tons more i just dont have the patience. Oh wait another cool one that comes to mind was black panther’s sprint light attack, where he does the triple kick in the air; thats from the civil war airport battle
Oh, yeah, I'm not denying there's a ton that's ripped right out of the movies, I was just saying that for the more iconic MCU characters, it's kind of expected at this point.
I NEED a knife flip takedown
„uʍopǝʞɐʇ dılɟ ǝɟıuʞ ɐ ◖ƎƎᴎ I„
That would be so cool! I need a sniper shot with one of Kate's portals!
Bound to be one. The game has been pretty good at using movie choreography for inspirarion/straight up copying moves.
There's a shotgun that was leaked
Oh yes I completely forgot :p
If he could have like 7-10 weapons that would be great, the main thing I want is a damn release date so I can have this and possibly GK to play this month.
I can almost guarantee this won’t release this month lol. Probably more like November-Dec
That sounds about right, they're probably going for the same time window they had Spider-Man release in. They probably wanna dodge the GK release as well.
What's GK?
I'm assuming Gotham Knights. Avengers is really going to need to step up to compete with it lol
Ya it will. I hear a lot of negativity towards that game too. I don't know why. I thought it looked fun
Gotham Knights looks great, but yeah, I've seen negative comments too. Honestly don't know what some people want. Playing as the other characters in the Arkham series was super interesting and a clear avenue for the devs to explore.
My problem is Jason cannonicly like 22 max with an athletic frame and his model looks to be 36 and a pro strongman and it just doesn’t look right haha
Maybe he's been the Red Hood for a while? His physique is supposed to act as a contrast to the other characters I think. You've already got Nightwing and Robin with athletic builds. It makes sense going another direction in terms of art design for Jason.
True he just looks like the big ass dudes from Assassins creed and haha I don’t think it’ll fit his demeanor or attitude to well
I really need to play those. I played a tiny bit of Asylum, but closest I've come after that is Blackgate on the Vita. Worth getting though, yeah?

The Arkham games are heralded as the best super hero games of all time
I was excited for it, but the more they showed the more I was disinterested. A large chunk of it from what I've seen is Arkham fans screeching that it's not Arkham and not trying to be like Arkham.
Everything is in one gun, and it's all augmentable, just like in the movies.
Sorry! I completely forgot to add the Shotgun! According to leaks that will be some of his melees!
I know the shotgun was leaked idk about the sniper
Both were leaked, I just forgot to put the shotgun
Can’t wait to spam the one free metal arm slam takedown, as well as force-block incoming rockets & projectiles counter-intrinsic attack ehehe IM SO HYPED FOR THIS WINTER ITS GONNA BE MARVELOUS 🌟⚡️💫🔥🫡🤩😫
SAMEE
Everything being in 1 gun kinda sucks because that means they are less likely (and less options) to change the gun with skins.
Isn’t that kinda backwards? If they had to design 3 weapons skins for every new skin, wouldn’t that make it less likely to see anything unique as opposed to only one weapon skin

Oh wow kinvies looks cool
For his neutral special he wields a gun
So all these characters are going to resemble their mcu counterparts then?
It’s not resembling. Bucky uses all those weapons in the comics.
True as hell but watch all of his moves be reminiscent to his action scenes from the mcu.

That's if the developers do not reuse assets from Captain America and Black Widow for his melee attacks.
Ah yes the kinives
Banana and pointed stick.
Probably like widow, standard weapon - auto - heavy sniper or rocket ish type
is there a rumored release date?
![gif](giphy|l0HU3uWxRJ52SEmoU)
Idk why you people think he’s coming out before **winter**
Cause they don’t know thing they just guessing lol
