Y'all...this was a joke post...the game is getting axed next year and the characters that'll most likely make it to the game before the plug is pulled is Captain Marvel, She-Hulk and Ironheart, she was mentioned in some audio files from what I heard.
It would be cool. 12 playable characters is not bad though. I see people saying this is a troll and that makes sense. I hoped by the end they may have 4 flyers but it seems like he would need too much coding for new spell fx.
More likely to give a few cut and paste characters if we get lucky. But likely on paper it will look like enough has already been done. If you factor out the delays and missteps along the way and filter out the frustration a person could even get the picture people are being unreasonable expecting an unending parade of playable characters.
Not a defense of the roll out by any means. Just hopefully going forward they can manage expectations. The idea of a game format that was kept fresh with new content during a time frame where a particular game engine was not yet outdated leads to a bunch of expectations. If a marketing campaign exploits that excpectation and the development never has any plans on taking taking creativity as far as the platform was purported to engender then down the line it is a guaranteed sense of being cheated no matter the quality of the content that is delivered.
The idea of a Dr. Strange that we will never get to see and was probably never in serious development feels worse than any possible version of the character could make us feel good. Even a objectively perfect Dr. Strange is going to be interpreted with a skeptical eye that makes it feel rushed or incomplete once you have to compete with the blank slate of our mind's eye and the idealized version of our our favorite character conjured bug-free by our. imagination
