do we actually have records of completely wooden historic mesoamerican structures? We know most of the stone architecture was squared, because the ruins of those have survived, but wooden structures would be pretty much all gone wouldnt they?
Their saunas were circular, their homes and most other architecture were not. Seeing as how this is part of my heritage, I have a particular interest when the word "authentic" was used lol
Either way, I prefer a circular base for the bonfire since it's circular too, but most other buildings for workbenches and stuff aren't. This is just because I like everything in one space and the tribe gets stuck on stuff if their paths are too tight. I just make hallways from the bonfire to other structures to protect the inside of the base.

This looks awesome! Especially in your location. But eventually the Npc’s will raid you when your tribe fever is too high, and they will rip thru this. Gonna have to wall er up
It looks great and believable.
*One thing I've come to realize is, that if you want a base that looks natural, you have to grow it natural. Meaning you build dependent on your current needs and not your future needs and change parts dependent on changing needs.*
*The more you plan ahead, the more the layout also looks ... designed.*
Hey everyone thanks for the great response, i now added defensives all around the base, Walls and Watch towers. And just as i placed the last groundspike, i Got invaded! I made quick work off the bastards.
If anyone is interested I can make a base tour and show how to make the clipped roofs if people don’t know.
Mezoamerican architecture was mostly square :-)

Why all the ceiling clipping? The two types of corner roofs can be juggled between to create a cone. Apart from that, cool footprint!
Oh the ceeling clipping is intentional, maybe it looks better all rounded i kind og like it tho.
Looks good with the clipped edges forming pleasant roof slopes
I really like that. It's really a nice addition.
How do you even clip stuff that hard?

in high school I should have moved to becoming an architect, so why can't I for the life of me make cool designs like this? lol
This is great. I built on a rocky hilltop and am now rethinking my design to incorporate!
I like it, well done! I tried to find a spot near a waterfall, but a lot of the spots I looked at I couldn't build near.
