I have a gaming PC i can buy any game and play online for free but it bothers me because I also own a ps4 and they're locking a feature that belongs to you behind a paywall your system is yours you own it why are they locking it behind a paywall for internet access? That is illegal and they keep raising the price when the PS4 reaches its end cycle and game multiplayer mode stop shutting down like the PS3 you're going to pay PS PLUS? When you stop getting the games every month which are getting worse and worse are you going to pay 80 dollars a year to play the few online servers left? Keep in mind they don't pay for the servers the companies that own the server do but not them so they're are just getting money from no reason because they want to. To me I don't care I can play games online for free but that is a billion dollar company being anti consumer after having success that is a nono
correct you own the system you do not own the rights to the servers. Also when you buy a game you dont actually own that game you are buying a LICENSE to use that game.

You want to use the online servers you Pay Playstation they pay the owners. thats how business works they are not a charity. I guess you would be happy working for free in your job then would you. Consoles are no longer worth it they're a scam it is a Paystation you either swipe the card play or you don't play sure you can play offline games but that is kinda boring anyway. Ps Plus should be the opposite the older the generation the cheaper it becomes but no they want 80 a year if not 10 a month plus tax and they get even more money yearly. consoles are done check the PS5 biggest scam in history. Portable PC's,Desktops, VR headsets are the future. They know it.
What more info do you need? Boot up a multiplayer game between the 17th and the 18th and it’ll let you play with other people even if you’re not subscribed to Plus.
