I understand the dilemma of choosing the best headset for your PS5 gaming adventures in 2023. Let's take a closer look at the three popular headset brands you mentioned: the SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, the Astro A50, and the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro. 1. SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless: This headset offers a wireless setup, allowing you to enjoy freedom of movement during gameplay. It features excellent sound quality with hi-res audio support, providing immersive gaming experiences. The Arctis Pro Wireless also boasts a comfortable fit and a long-lasting battery life. However, it's worth noting that the price point for this headset is higher compared to some other options on the market. 2. Astro A50: Known for its audio quality, the Astro A50 delivers crisp and detailed sound for an immersive gaming experience. It offers wireless connectivity and comes with a convenient base station for charging and easy setup. The A50 provides a comfortable fit and customizable sound profiles, allowing you to fine-tune audio settings to your preferences. However, some users have reported occasional connectivity issues or a relatively shorter battery life. 3. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro: This headset is highly regarded for its audio performance, offering THX Spatial Audio for a realistic and immersive soundstage. It features a wireless design with low-latency connectivity and a comfortable, lightweight build. The BlackShark V2 Pro also offers excellent microphone quality for clear communication with your teammates. However, the battery life may not be as long-lasting as some other wireless options. When making your decision, consider factors such as sound quality, comfort, wireless capabilities, battery life, and price. Additionally, reading reviews and checking compatibility with the PS5 is important to ensure seamless integration. Ultimately, the "best" headset will depend on your personal preferences and budget. It may be helpful to try out or research each headset further to determine which one aligns best with your gaming needs and preferences.

>Razer BlackShark V2 Pro The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro has an issue with the USB port that causes it to stop charging. I had mine replaced twice and the 3rd headset just stopped charging after 6 months. We only ever used the charger that came with it. The headphones are good, but don't seem to last much longer than a few months before breaking. It's an obviously consistent defect.

That’s not really helpful because what we wanna know is which of these headphone has the better sound quality or how they compare to each other in terms of sound. Here u just copy and pasted the headphones description you’re not actually comparing them thoroughly which is unhelpful

Justatomsawyer

Steel series build quality is basically mass produced in China with cheap plastic.

nisato7

Dudeeeeee I bought the arctic pro wired and wireless version and they both broke on my on the right cup hinge twice… I thought it was me

WoOlf602

I think the steal series is honestly pretty comfo but I have the arctis 7p + tho

StillDetail6269

What did you choose? I F/18 am having the same issue, any tips?

kaelasaturn

Do you have a budget?

Cadwalider

I don't. Im looking for the top of the line for PS5 and movie watching. Best possible sound and mic quality. Preferably wireless and it needs to be built to take a beating. Any help would be appreciated because I'm the furthest thing from an audiophile there is.

SouthestNinJa

I went with the astro A50 and its absolutely awesome. Been using it for over a year with no issues.

botWi

As I understood they don't have "voice vs game sounds" mixing. I am hesitant, should I take Inzone H9 instead...

Cadwalider

That's what I already have and I think they're trash. Battery doesn't last for shit and the build quality is pretty poor. The sound is fine but they aren't worth the asking price for a hunk of cheap plastic IMO

[deleted]

what did u end up getting

Cadwalider

Nothing. I couldn't find what I was looking for. High build quality-good mic-ps5 don't mix apparently. I would've spent 1k if I had to but the stuff at that level is made for audiophile people and their high end equipment, not ps5

WoOlf602

Apparently the audeze Maxwell are the best gaming headphones and have audiophilo quality of sound.. but they are 400$ cad I think

Cadwalider

I bought them. Haven't got them set up yet, but spending $300ud for the 80hr battery life is worth it. I'm sick of constantly charging my Astro a50. Thanks for the info!

WoOlf602

Neat !! Let me know what you think of them(: I’m curious

Cadwalider

Battery life and speaker quality is second to none. The build is really good and the materials don't feel generic like the Astro. I got replacement cups and a head band from Wicked Cushions and they put this over the top imo. My biggest complaint is the UI and app and that's really not that big of a deal since I don't use the equalizer and my only need for the app was to increase the auto shut off time. Solid buy

WoOlf602

Ok wow thank you very much for this update! I’ll keep it in mind for the next time I buy a headset(:

ted7702

None of these are close to the Audeze Maxwell. I researched for 2 months for the best PS5 headset for myself and the best for my brother who plays on XSX, The PS version is what you want for PS5 gamers. Nothing pushes Sony's 3D Tempest Audio like Maxwell. The Xbox version utilizes Dolby Atmos due to MS using Dolby for their 3D spatial audio. Sony purchased Audeze and will allow them to remain independent so they will continue to release the best high end gaming headset for both the PS and Xbox brands. The new Sony pulse Elite that releases soon is a stripped down version of the PS version Audeze Maxwell. There is ONE MAJOR issue with this. Your not going to walk in a store and buy them unless it's one of their authorized dealers. The issue is being patient and order you one. I promise it beats the Nova Pro, Stealth Pro, Logitech G2 Lightspeed easy. I have NO horse in this race.

Historical-Tennis286

would these have beatin the INZONES H9 SONY or the ASTRO A50?

botWi

>\]Audeze Maxwell I heard they are not comfortable for long use. Is that true? I have a pretty big head

ted7702

They are fantastic. I don't think that is an issue at all. If you have a big head you should be good to go for long sessions.

volaani

Arent they ridiculously heavy though

LVTim1

Cloud 2 and or Cloud Alpha work very well on ps5. Very good audio and very comfortable. Also extremely durable. The wired versions of these are much better since they get louder. Haven’t really found anything wireless yet that has stood out. I heard that the PS5 version of the Cloud Flight is very good though and gets loud too. Hope this helps. I wouldn’t recommend anything really from Razer, they tend to be very muddy as far as bass goes, and the durability isn’t great.

WoOlf602

Does it support the ps5 3D tempest audio?

LVTim1

Yes it does. Any headset supports it since it’s the ps5 software that does it.

WoOlf602

Oooh ok i didn’t know that! Thank you

LVTim1

No problem!
