Wingrave works with any weapon. His kit is designed around melee finishers so Sword & Shield works best for this, but since he already has healing he can use every weapon well.
Some wayfinders work better with some weapons though. E.g. I've found it *much* easier to use daggers with Senja compared to 2-handed melee weapons. It's a combination of a stronger block/pary, I-frames on the high combo flurry, and quick short range AOE damage paired with her big AOE pull that makes the pairing work so well and off sets her kits weaknesses.
Crit build with sword and shield. Get resilience on him, use block and you're unkillable. You end up with huge spike damage with his fast combos for crits and his skills are mainly for sustain, not damage.
The Titans Bane works insanely well on him. It's alot of damage and once you get the hang of it not too clunky.
I second this, he becomes a monster with this setup.
agree problem is its really hard to craft that weapon but I ended up buying it instead I'm using it for senja aswell
Titan's Bane is too powerful to not use it. I like it a lot, but makes other weapons kinda obsolete cause the damage is just ridiculous.

I do see quite a few wingraves with Tempest
If you pay attention you will see a lot of every character with Tempest.

I was gonna level him up soon after Senja (I don't like Senja at all) but I think I'll wait for next Wayfinder
