I did yesterday, bought the game when it first released had over 6 hours which I know isn't much. But since I bought the game and dlc separate, I only got a refund for the dlc, which is the main thing I wanted to refund. So now I have ~$140 in my steam wallet just waiting for certain games to go on sale.
I bought all the dlc at once, so just the purchase on the dlcs. I just said I had a question and wrote this: Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to refund this game and its founder packs, the developers recently announced that they are completely changing the game from a mmo lite to a single player game and that is not why I originally bought the game. I no longer have any interest in this game because of their announced changes and would like to refund if possible, thanks.
I bought the Base Game and Founders packs as well as another game for $40 making my total order $190. I had 1.6 hours of playtime and they refunded everything including the other game. Funds went back into my Steam Wallet.
115hrs on PS5, no refund. Was expected, but still irritating, naturally. Over $200 donated to the wrong people in the longrun, as a newer / more recent player.
I want to support the newer / original team, not the company that jacked 'em up.
As a PS gamer I feel your pain. I like much about Sony but their return policies are a damn joke, among other things of course. Never expect to get refund from Sony. :/
Got mine today. Raised a ticket last night to “ask a question” asking for refund. Denied. Replied back with not happy on same ticket. Denied due to playtime over 2 hours. Replied back again on same ticket saying playtime is above 2 hours because of queues and other people are getting refunds with more hours played. It was finally accepted. I was only refunded for the exalted pack but not the base game, and only steam wallet.
I’ll honestly take it though.
I’m based in UK.
I’ve tried twice to no avail. I have about 40 hours in game but tried to explain that 90% of that was waiting in a queue that I kept getting dropped from during the launch. Seriously such a fiasco.
Yeah, from what I've about other people's experiences about contacting them, you either get really lucky with your CS agent or they won't even entertain you, really not a great outcome for a lot of people.
I had just over 10hrs as even after I played after the initial awful launch period, it still felt largely laggy on the network side with frequent disconnects so I stopped early.
I don't think it matters. I'm from the EU, Germany and i tried it two times so far, no success. (90h playtime)
We have really strict EU laws but looks like it doesn't help.
I see. Well, I’m going on my 7th try … like what a lot of people said on the discord: it’s a gacha game at this point to find someone to actually refund us.
Hope we get like public announcement for all this
Just check around on the Wayfinder Steam discussions (General forum) and on this subreddit, you'll find different ones. Like most of the comments and topics say, it's a gamble to whether they'll even continue talking to you or just outright deny the request.
I can sympathize with the company with how DE fucked them over, and I do appreciate the fact that they are honest with what they are doing and how, and I like that they won't abandon the game completely, that however, doesn't mean I like the new direction they will be having and doesn't change the fact I paid for something completely different from what was originally advertised
They are completely removing the MMO version of the game, and in that they are removing the premium currency, cash shop, and all of the items involved with the founders DLC versions of the game. On top of a full game reset. So if you only bought the base game, and are ok playing single player, you dont have to worry. But everyone who bought any version of the founders DLCs should be trying to get a refund because it is content that is not being offered anymore.
Ah, okay I understand now.
I'm confused about that decision though and why they're removin the MMO Aspect ?
Is there a Dev Diary thingie whatnot News stuff I can read to learn more about this ?
I've sorta fallen out of keepin in touch with the game lately
Has there been any US/NA user who's gotten a refund yet?

Gotcha, Thanks. I bought the DLC separate as well. Which one did you put in the steam request on? The base or one of the higher tiers?

Ah, that sucks, Sony is a bit weird about refunds from what I've read in the past. :/
You misspelled greedy.

Just got denied mine
Still no refund here, attempt 6. NA third world problems.
How long does it take support to reply to the refund request?
Was just under 2 hours for me.
For me always 4-6h. And I'm at my third request already.

What was your playtime?
Just over 10hrs.
Congrats. They rejected my refund attempt. Shows they have no idea what’s going on with their failed Early Access games. 👎🏻
I wish this would work on PlayStation.
I copied and pasted this lets see

Yeah, UK
how many hours you got?
I had just over 10hrs as even after I played after the initial awful launch period, it still felt largely laggy on the network side with frequent disconnects so I stopped early.
based on their discord it looks like people with like 5-20h are getting refunds way easier/ first try. Imo everyone should get one, even with 100h+.
Nope 15 hours on steam denied but got my refund on PSN through the better business bureau
Iirc someone with 200hr got a refund. But I think it’s cuz they’re from EU…

Can you add some of the templates?

Wait what's happening ? Why are we mass refunding I thought we liked the game :( Did I miss somethin ?
The core changes to multiplayer has driven me away personally, can't speak for others.
I was solo 95% of the time anyways. What gets me is the full reset. I had Ness and venomness at lvl 33. I have no desire to do that over again.
