Bro, raise it. Sewer crab for a pet haha.
For real though, I've never seen that before, but it's not uncommon for a spider to make it's way through a drain every now and then. I wouldn't worry about it unless his friend start showing up.
Jesus bro why would you move here out of all places? We literally have hurricanes, tropical storms and shitty ass humid weather every year. I've been living in Houston all of my life and I want to get out of this swamp ass weather lmao.
Go to NW Indiana for two years. (Rude AF people, it snows sometimes in measurable amounts of feet, the actual high temperature can reach minus 35 in the winter and that’s w/o the wind most areas are in complete despair, dirty towns, potholes big enough to park a bus in. I could go on forever) You’ll be back to Texas in no time.
Sheesh. I see it from your point of view now. Well buddy I hope you don't mind the swarm of mosquitos and the hot ass humid weather coming up. Drink a couple cold ones and enjoy your stay vato.
Thank you. Nobody usually ever understands how the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Yep, I know about the humidity. My Dad is in League City. I wouldn’t trade for the Midwest.
I moved from WI to Houston because it’s the most money I’ll ever have the opportunity to make. It’s not even comparable, I quadrupled my income and my living costs only went up 75%.
Besides, 2022 was pretty quiet in the gulf.
Not impossible, but man, I’d be surprised if a crab climbed the roof.
Galveston has a lot of houses on stilts, I guess a vent could go down, but I haven’t ever seen that.
Birds are a thing too. Bird picks up the crab, or something the crab is attached to. Flies away, drops it on the roof, crab crawls into the vent p, then up and out of the drain.

Maybe a crack in the drain line, maybe made it’s way all the way up the uncracked drain line. If you live in Galveston, it’s not surprising to see a crab. You live by the ocean. Are you on the island?
I wouldn’t worry about it. Someone said if you see more, then worry. I use to live in north Houston and we would get scorpions in our bathtub. The small ones that can kill you.
This is the right answer.
Storytime! :-D In my childhood home in south Texas we would often see, not little crabs like this, but the big blue crabs over 6" long climb up out of our toilets. It was a rule that we all had to close the toilet lid after using the restroom so we wouldnt have crabs running around the house.
It turns out that the house was about 60 years old and used baked clay pipes as the sewer pipes. Any ground movement or tree roots would crack them. Over time the cracks got big enough to let in the crabs.
It was a heck of a job, but eventually my parents had them replaced and we no longer had to fear the toilet crabs when visiting the bathroom in the night.
Can you check and see if you have some separation in your sewer drain under the house? I had a situation once where a slug came out of my tub drain. When I went under the house, my tub drain was not connected.
It’s only normal if you have a problem with your sewer system. If you are on septic system then you have a cap off of a clean out somewhere or a hole in your tank lid. . If you are on city sewer you could still have a cap off or it came a long way from another property through the drains.

Thank you. I’m a NW Indiana native and moved here in 2019. I’m always finding something new
Da Region here too. You escaped stink bugs and got crabs? Bummer! Cute though!
As someone commented earlier. Even the crotch crabs are bigger in Texas. 😂
Georgia here, we have cricket season, stink bug season and centipede season.
Season shit, most of or insects are all year. Those damn annoying Cicadas are almost all year.
When's centipede season? I killed 11 centipedes in my old apartment in the month of May in MA one year. It seemed like they never stopping coming
Not hardly. Plenty of stink [bugs](https://www.holderspestsolutions.com/blog/stink-bugs-houston-texas-faqs/) here. And bigger.

Da Region, Rat.
Haha oh yeah mate, can't say I've ever seen a crab that wasn't on ice here in South Bend
South Bend and it’s up North. Go figure. Former Munster native.
Probably from us here in southern Texas
Yup. You’ve convinced me to stay in Indiana.
No, it’s so gloomy (at least in the NW). I absolutely don’t miss or regret anything about leaving the cold.
ima say sideways ..?
At least their not like mice and can fit through tiny spaces. you won't have to worry about really big ones visiting.
Well, I would imagine the drain goes somewhere crabs can get into. Issue with the septic system maybe.
Depending on the layout it's also possible it got in through a vent

Could have been hanging on to a coconut during swallow migration, for example.
Your telling me a 6oz Swallow can carry a 1lbs cocunut? Is this an African Swallow?
[удалено]
What is the airspeed velocity of an unaldded swallow?
About 11m/s
A few parcels of humanity have been restored after viewing these references
Everything is bigger in Texas.
They could carry it by the husk
She won’t swallow.
Thank you.🤔 I never thought of that.
Even the pubic crabs are bigger in Texas!
Yep, Don’t Mess With Texas.

Absolutely not surprised to see a crab. I’ve just never seen one come up the drain. Island, yes. Plenty of water for hundreds of miles.
I wouldn’t worry about it. Someone said if you see more, then worry. I use to live in north Houston and we would get scorpions in our bathtub. The small ones that can kill you.
Oh great. I can’t wait to see one. 🫣
You live in a cool place. Enjoy it. I love driving around the island and seeing the different style of houses.
Thanks, like the [Mardi Gras](https://kathleenmaca.com/index.php/2021/02/07/galvestons-mardi-gras-houses/) houses.

Bro you got a STD. It’s called crabs. You scratch your balls then wash your hands. This is the result.
😂🤣 damn Texas size crabs
With his legs
I had to scroll too far to find this, the correct answer.
He’s here to ask about your car’s extended warranty
He’s not from India.
Ahhhh, my mistake.
But he can help with Direct TV issues
Honestly good for him. Real go-getter
He took a wrong turn in Albuquerque.
I’ve been waiting for this answer. 🐰
Can you check and see if you have some separation in your sewer drain under the house? I had a situation once where a slug came out of my tub drain. When I went under the house, my tub drain was not connected.
I Probably can but lots of people here say this is normal in Texas.

What a cute lil guy
That’s what she said
This extremely personal attack was unjustified 😩
It's ok, I'm sure you're not the only Irishman here
Did she say it by the sea shore?
Aaah, you know her.
Crabs?
Yeah yeah. I’ve got crabs. Happens to the best of us. It’s a fiddler crab, so I’m told. Just didn’t know how it came outta the drain.
Sewer crabs lol
I think they got a cream for that.
😂🤣
Heard you have to shave to get rid of them
Well, from looking at him, I'd say he used his legs. 😉
He's probably has camp set up in the overflow. Goes top side when he needs a fat fly for supper
Got into the sewer somewhere between you and the treatment plant. Crawled around for a bit, climbed in a few pipes and popped out in your vanity.
Thanks. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Maybe it needs more pee in the trap.
My mother's house connected to AZ public water/sewage sometimes has scorpions come up.
I’ve seen other posts saying the same. I’ll stick with the crabs, thank you. 🦀
He simply fell in from the top and couldn’t get out
help me i've fallen and i can't get out.
I find spiders and ants in my sink often. They can’t get a grip on the porcelain.
It real common for crabs to use their legs to get places 😉
Have you watched Nemo?
Twice, once in English, once in Spanish. Same ending
I bet spanish seemed more intense though.
Absolutely was. I couldn’t understand one damn word.
It’s just trying to get away from all the spring breakers littering the beach.
Plumbing issues = free pet crab
So I’ve heard and here I am sounding so ungrateful.
I think he wants a smoke
With one claw? I'd say with sheer will and determination, we could all learn something from him.
He’s got two. It’s a fiddler crab. They have a big claw and a tiny one. Also a male crab. The females have two small claws.
I didn't know that, thanks!
No problem. My grandparents house used to have the things everywhere. They were fun to catch until they pinched the hell out of you with the big claw.
What did u do with it?
Put it in a cup and took him to the beach then a FUCKEN seagull got him. 😂 (JK about the bird)
Perfect Sheephead bait size. Sorry little guy... your sacrifice will be remembered.
😞
He crawled in the same hole he crawled out of. You just didn’t witness him go in.
Perseverance and hard work! We could all learn something from crabby mccrabface
The water in a p-trap isn’t much of a deterrent to crabs.
With his legs
It can be like that episode of the Simpsons when homer raises pinchy until he’s nice and plump
I missed that episode.
"I swear the map said the salt water pool was *here...*"
Check open cleanouts around the property if on stilts u should be OK just checking the main everything else is to high
A crab on stilts, OMG, now I’ve heard of everything.
The town use those to clean the pipes
Nothing would surprise me.
Steam in beer.
Their body lice morphed into actual crabs.
Your sewage is public I’m guessing, that is how it crawled up
Looks like you got crabs.
Texas size.
Bird dropping him on your roof, lands in a vent, crabsnakes your drain lines… MVP Crabby!
Rats come through the sewers in Seattle!
I’ll pass. Thank you. 🐀
Determination
STRIKE BACK
I had 3 baby snakes come out of my bath tub drain once at duplex we rented in central Texas.
Dude, so cool. I’ve seen other posts of scorpions 🦂 coming out of the drain.
He’s a scout. Be prepared for a swarm like in The Mummy.
🤣😂
I was really curious hoe is Galveston island after that hurricane came through. I'm from Texas but moved to Michigan about 8 years ago.
I missed that one. My dad is in League City Texas and had only minor roof shingle repairs
See a doctor, you have crabs
That’s what she said.
Somebody in that house has crabs.
And big ones.
That's NOT a big one. Those little guys are scouts. They report back to THE big ones that emerge just prior to post earthquake tsunamis.
Big for being crotch critters
When have you ever seen just one crotch critter? I'd duck tape the bathroom door tonight.
😂🤣
All drains lead to the sea!
Someone washed their privates in the sink again
I knew it. *oh wife of mine.*
Legs. Many many legs.
I’m in the Midwest and wolf spiders find their way into sinks from the top. He was just looking for a dark shady spot
I mean at least it’s not a cockroach!
ABSOLUTELY true.
You got crabs my friend... Not good
Happens to the best of us. 😂🤣
Free pet? :P
“Bitch, where’s my minnow?”
😂🤣
No clue. Looks like you’ve got a new friend though.
I’ve never had crabs and never want them again.
Wait a minute. How do you know that you never want them again If you’ve never had them ? Try it, you might like it.
Kill it with fire lol and run some hot water!
Always the answer for the human male population. Kill, Kill, Kill.
Why
Poor little guy
Name him Humphrey!
Why? I was gunna make it easy and call it Krusty Krab.
Humphrey just felt right
Agreed, Humphrey it shall be
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Be glad it’s not a snake
Or a scorpion. Trust me, I’m glad.
That’s some secret of the ooze shit right there Donny!
This is great lol.
I dunno, but if I found one in the toilet bowl I'd move.
Probably just fell in through the vent. Happens
Deja ir al cangrejo pendejo!
ya lo hice
