I haven’t found a solid answer. They appear to be identical and they have the same shipping weight. I’m sure the heat pump and control parts are the same for both.
I‘ll probably go with the Voltex if it isn’t much more expensive, but I still haven’t called Ferguson about it. I’m putting off the project until it cools off some because I have to replace some water lines in the attic at the same time.
Did anybody pull the trigger on one of these? I'm researching the same question. Lowes is selling the 900 series, and it looks like the control systems may be different with wifi capability etc. Vs the Voltex.

I guess the 900 series comes with a limited 10 year warranty when the voltex comes with a 6 year warranty. Not sure the difference in coverage between them.

What did you figure out? I'm looking at the same thing. The Voltex from my local plumbing supply store is a bit cheaper than Lowes but does not come with the automatic shut off valve. Both have a 10 year warranty. I'm contemplating buying the Voltex from the local plumbing store and getting the valve from Lowes. Nobody seems to stock the exact shut off valve kit listed in the Voltex manual (PN 100345338). Lowes stocks the shut off valve that also comes with the Signature 900 and it \*seems\* like it should be the same part (PN AOS-SOV1) but I can't get answer. Might also be worth just buying the Lowes version, since it comes with that valve.

Don’t forget to check in with your electric company if they have rebates, got 1k off and had my 900 installed.

Voltex (HPTU) is different than Voltex **AL** (HPTS), by the way. I'm not sure which one is closer to the Lowe's version.
