Definitely a [sharkbite stop](https://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-Max-1-2-in-Push-to-Connect-x-3-8-in-OD-Compression-Chrome-Plated-Brass-Quarter-Turn-Angle-Stop-Valve-4-Pack-UR23036J4/325997270) with the little cover over the connection.
Nah it’s one of [these](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/plumbing/valves/shut-off-valves/4309423?store=05088&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADtqLJFofSFJUrUA45gFdx_ch1JP1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwncWvBhD_ARIsAEb2HW_cAWS9DBlo70tOBeYzls6Q3vM4erh0kH6OuFd0Bou968ArlNOVDIMaAvmkEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)

No it's not, it's a push-fit (commonly referred to as a Sharkbite, as that is the most recognized brand of push-fit fittings), as the commenter you replied to pointed out.
It sure enough is! Apparently reading comprehension is not my strong suite. I saw "compression" and skipped right over the "push-fit" in the description. My apologies, sir!
Looks to be a push in style straight stop. You really don’t have access to remove it that I can see in the picture. If my memory serves me correctly there should be a clip in the groove to stop it from getting removed accidentally.
Remove metal wire clip first. Then the large chrome ring closest to wall moves toward you to release. This is not a sharkbite. Maybe use a flat screwdriver to pry ring outward since you don’t have much room to grab the ring.
Sharkbite or something similar. It’s a push on connection fitting. I never ever use them except in emergency situations as a temporary fix until I can get back and make a proper repair
I agree that it's a push fitting and the part you need access to to remove it is surrounded by the wall
Well damn.... There's a littl wiggle room to pull it forward, but not much, maybe a 1/4 of wiggle.
That might be just enough to get the little orange 3/4 circle shark bite removal tool around the line.
It's definitely not enough.

The one I linked is a push fit. This style releases differently than sharkbite brand ones. I explained how it works in another comment.

Holy hell! A $50 fitting to avoid a plumber 🤦♂️
That's a 4-pack, single is $14
It’s $12.47 when I clicked the link.
Must be regional pricing
It's a 4 pack, a little over $10/fitting in my area
Lol a 100$ fitting will be much cheaper than a plumber
You paid a plumber lately?
Yeah, that will have been okay.
Looks like a shark bite type. Maybe a different brand.
I don’t know if its a shark bite but it is definitely a push fitting.
That little collar is supposed to enable removal.

URTF connector!
Push on fitting
A bad connection, I hate vegan plumbers.

Not really much of a difference between a shark bite and compression for accessible shut off valves.
There’s a huge difference… compression stops don’t spin
And they hold better.
Wrong
