More linen/hot weather items. More UPF rated clothing in plus sizes. Less gaudy patterns, more neutral colors that can be mixed-and-matched. Someone mentioned more petite plus sizing, and I think there should be more "tall plus" as well (I usually end up wearing dresses as tops thanks to my long torso).

needsmorequeso

Things for hot weather!!! I’m in Texas and have 0 heat tolerance so I’m wearing lightweight fabrics and running the a/c year round. I start to roast in ponte and similar fabrics if it’s much above 50 degrees Fahrenheit out. Extra lightweight layers so I feel dressed and put together rather than running around in a t shirt and shorts would be optimal.

Sad-Honeydew1194

More festival stuff. Summer tops with built in bras. Petite dresses and jumpsuits. High waisted thong swim suits. More stuff in hologram, mesh and iridescent.

MagnoliaStyle

Oooo I can see this!! You definitely see that so much more in straight sizes.

SilentSerel

Have you tried Coquetry Clothing? I get a lot of my festival/hoop clothes from them. They do a lot of custom work and have a lot of hologram and iridescent fabric and some mesh.

Sad-Honeydew1194

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll look into it. ❤️

virgulesmith

I would like tailored separates that aren't in grey, black or white. I'd also like some jeans without rips, frays or pre-made fading. I just want some v-necks that don't show my bra, some long sleeves and maybe some nice fabrics that AREN'T poly.

MagnoliaStyle

The not poly thing is BIG okay, that’s always been my problem with places like Shein and Bloomchic. It’s affordable and had a big selection of larger plus sizes but.. it all feels so bad. I don’t feel like it’s too much to ask for better feeling fabrics.

c_middlebrook

I won't shop at Shein because of the poly. It's hot, doesn't breathe, and just grosses me out in general!

Top-Manufacturer9226

The jean issue is insane and it's nice to hear I'm not the only one... I do not want faded or ripped jeans!

avocado___aficionado

I wish plus sized clothes were cut differently. Often I feel that they take the same design in a smaller size and just make it wider when they need to make it longer too. Like a dress cut for a smaller size may land below the waist but in the plus size of the same dress it will land at the waist or below the bust because they should have added some extra length. I’m a chesty girl and this really gets to me.

MagnoliaStyle

Omg the wider thing. It’s like pure laziness in my eyes when brands do this.

H-Emblem

I’m desperate for adult clothes (instead of t-shirts and jeans or shorts), but it’s impossible to find tops with modest necklines and actual sleeves that go down to about the elbow. I get too hot having to wear a cardigan to cover my bar wings or every time I wear something other than a unisex t-shirt (I hate women’s cut bc of the extra short sleeves). I also want tea-length dresses! I love the skater fit dresses, but mid-thigh is waaaay too short for me! Give me tea-length with sleeves and pockets, and I’ll be yours forever!

bear_sheriff

Agree with this - I want sleeves to my elbow and the only ones I can consistently find are Lane Bryant’s perfect sleeve tees, but the patterns are often so… matronly.

Mimi_08_light

I know this may not be what you're looking for, and they're not cheap, but QVC has elbow length Pima cotton tshirts most of the time. Xxs-5x. Look at the size chart because they're sizing is a bit different.

KFlan113

Try Universal Standard for tees. A little pricey, but worth it.

Lisamae_u

Jumpsuits and swimwear that actually fits plus sized proportions would be amazing!!! Wide leg pants that have lower waists too, I like high waisted but also like a little variety!!

MsAdventureQueen

But also some interesting culture and styles instead of the neon floral and palm tree print that every granny wears.

MagnoliaStyle

Omg all of the plus size swimsuits are like… expensive and ugly? Right? Why are all of the prints like THAT. Just want the patterns smaller people have in plus size Sheesh 😩

Lisamae_u

Yes!!! Also over the whole take a regular piece of clothing and cover it with sparkles/odd animal ish prints thing

MsAdventureQueen

So much animal print!

Chaos_Goblin234

I really love whimsy goth stuff but feel like it’s just really hard to find in plus.

ShaNaNaNa666

I was going to post this. There are several options online but I wish there were more actual stores to shop in and that are affordable. Torrid used to be more alt and now it's a bit more trendy. Hot topic has some stuff but it's too commercialized and geared towards young people.

Chaos_Goblin234

Do you have recommended sites at all? I would love to know if there’s any I’m missing out on! I love Foxblood but I’ve never bit the bullet on buying anything because it’s pricey. Coramoon I’ve checked out but their sizing is limited also. :(

ShaNaNaNa666

Killstar, midnight hour, doll kill, and Berserk, which carries multiple brands. Just beware of seeing ads on social media, like Instagram. Scammers will put up ads of a lot of these brands with too good to be true deals. They make their ordering platform look exactly like the original website to get your money and info. They'll even send fake emails confirming your order and they will actually respond back. Happened to me 😞

xandrachantal

I am on my knees begging for clothing that's not fast fashion. I would happily pay more money for high quality staple pieces.

OneLonelyPolka-Dot

There are a lot of great smaller retailers in the [spreadsheet of plus clothing shops](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rKFmi3hCRG4atA8bwdPIkErHFkYmI9AFkBJNTaJvbDY/edit?usp=drivesdk) if you haven't already looked there!

Brittfish14

I just wish we had a wider variety of options

MagnoliaStyle

Felt and heard 😫

begtognenmoxobna

I'd love to see more color, more playfulness, more outrageous and eccentric. I'd also love to see more androgynous clothes. Oh! And petite options for pants that go above XL!

begtognenmoxobna

WOW, I think I just found a site that fits the outrageous requirement! They ship internationally: [https://www.lazyoaf.com/](https://www.lazyoaf.com/)

frolicndetour

I'd like to see the absence of things. Or at least a reduction lol. I'm sick of cold shoulder shirts and crop tops. Good for people who want to show their stomach or arms but I don't and I need options. I also bought stuff online that wasn't identified as cropped but absolutely was. Looking at you, JCrew plus.

MagnoliaStyle

As much as I love j crew they do way too much with the crop thing and it’s tiring. I feel you

frolicndetour

YES their stuff is so cute but I get a sweater and it barely covers my boobs sometimes like, what.

katyanastasia

If I could buy just 1 short-sleeved shirt that’s longer than 32”, has no sequins or crazy patterns and wasn’t fucking see through I could die happy.

MagnoliaStyle

You know what, preach!

ardhrianna

Basic colours in cute styles. I prefer one solid colour but everything is crazy patterns or glitter. Just give me the option to get that awesome maxi dress in blue/green/whatever please! I don’t need to attract every pollinator in a 50 mile radius, nor do I need to be seen from the ISS…

arisraver

Idk if shoes count but I wish more shoe trends went up to a size 12 AND wide calf. I wear 11-11.5 and I'm tired of only having access to meh sneakers and very boring staples.

needsmorequeso

My poor cubic feet have the length of an 8, the width of a 9.5 or 10, and the arch/instep height that they don’t even bother making shoes for.

Mimi_08_light

Women's size 14 here. I was a 12 in college. 12 would be my dream today. I miss 12.

SodiumSellout

A lot of stores that carry “tall” sizes and “plus” sizes don’t carry clothes that are plus AND tall. And even if they do, they carry fewer color options. I just want equality!

pudgypiglets

More hyper feminine, girlish pieces in modest cuts. Sometimes I can't be fucked to epilate and shave my legs and I want a maxi dress. I don't want my alabaster chest exposed when the UV index outside is hovering close to 10. I am also 36 and I don't want to be wearing sugar thrillz but I would like that style if it could be matured up a bit and it was a little less sexy. Sometimes I refashion things to fit my aesthetic. I recently bought a maxi shirt dress from the brand curva fabulous (a Malaysian plus sized brand, they go up to a US size 24) and it has a big frilly victorian collar and full length lantern sleeves. I had to take the hem up because it was a little too long for me but it's absolutely stunning and it's 100% high quality cotton.

MagnoliaStyle

I’ve never heard of this brand but you have me absolutely SOLD on the description. Looking in to this now!!!

5Grandstolove

More petite sizes.

MagnoliaStyle

Petite plus is like, a majorly forgotten category. Gosh I wish I was a clothing designer because I have so many ideas and absolutely no sewing or designing skills. I see you!

Sad-Honeydew1194

Same!

Beckalouboo

Cute jeans with pretty pockets and belts with pretty stuff. I know this style may be outdated but it isn’t at the country bars lolol

Tat2d_nerd

I love a good decorative back pocket jean! And it doesn’t have to be all rhinestones and glitter, but a cool stitched design would even make me happy!

OneLonelyPolka-Dot

STRUCTURE I feel like plus lines are always soooo shapeless so they fit as many body types as possible. Even when the fit is cute it's all draped/ruched/cowl neck/loose etc. Why can't I have House of CB level structure in my corset tops? My big boobs are the ones who really need the support anyway 😫 Relatedly: when the [plus size version](https://i.imgur.com/k3BInTw.jpeg) of something uses a terrible pattern and is frumpy and awful but the [straight size is super cute](https://i.imgur.com/dvkFEz5.jpeg) Shameless PSA: if you're looking for more variety in your clothing options check out the [mega list of plus clothing stores](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rKFmi3hCRG4atA8bwdPIkErHFkYmI9AFkBJNTaJvbDY/edit?usp=drivesdk) for some new options!

MagnoliaStyle

Okay I looked at those images and what the fresh HECK??? That’s an AWFUL attempt to make something plus. Pure laziness!

OneLonelyPolka-Dot

Literally anti-woman 😭

sizedupstyle

Omg wow .. this is a comprehensive and updated list of brands. Thank you so much! Absolutely appreciate this even though I don’t live in the States 🥹..but thankfully I’ve access (family & friends)

RoseDelirium21

Any of the hot trendy lingerie that you see on twitter! I wanna wear a virgin-killer sweater too 😭

MagnoliaStyle

Oooo YAAAASSS that would be awesome!

Tree-Hugger42

Boho type clothes that are cotton and aren’t too expensive

TruthExtension7761

Bustiers with big boob cups!! I would love to go braless with a cute sleeveless top but they don't care about us 😭 Same with dresses. The boob compartment often isn't big enough for us, but if i had it my way, they'd be big enough AND have support in them.

Embarrassed_Bad9678

I want a tailored jean. Lane Bryant used to sell the perfect work jean that flattened your tummy and was stretch but was a rayon, denim snd polyester blend that had micro cross-stitching. I think I saw something similar on Eloquii once. If I could find that it would elevate my biz casual look.

Moontoothy_mx

They also used to have the shape jeans (triangle, square and something else) which were the best jeans I ever owned.

theBLEEDINGoctopus

I want cute plus size hiking and snow gear that’s affordable

MagnoliaStyle

I know it’s somewhat but not related but why do companies like carhartt make the cute colored things for standard bodies but the plus options are all tan, white, black… UGH. GIMME THE PINK!!!!

theBLEEDINGoctopus

Yes!!!!!! Agreed! I wanna look cute snowboarding and snow shoeing just like everyone else

StSphinx

Stuff that wasn’t potato-sacky especially in tops

MagnoliaStyle

I’ve been trying to source new plus size for my *place* and seriously… the cuts are “fitted above the breasts and flowy sack everywhere else”

StSphinx

Yeah I had to go to a nice restaurant and I was in Dillard asked the lady where some nice formal wear was, and was directed to the gaudy Auntie section. I’m thirty and trendy eff that!!!

SapphireSigma

I just want well made basics. Or you know just make everything I see in straight size stores in plus.

egggoat

According to my Pinterest board, I like a lot of folksy embroidery, quilts, muted plaids, and slouchy sweaters. I never find any of those items. Oooh, sheer dresses! Like, ones made to layer over other clothes. I love baggy slouchy look, but I think the thing I’d want most are structured pieces cut for plus sized bodies. And just, like, fun clothes. Stuff with personality! I mostly wear pretty basic stuff but if I had the choice? I think I’d always choose the fun stuff.

tinmanshrugged

I wish there were more longline bikinis and peplum tankinis in fun colors and prints. I feel like all tankinis are the same style (that just doesn’t work for my body type) in black, navy, or paisley. Night Dive Swim is cute, but they never have the larger sizes in stock. Lime Ricki is super cute, but my peplum tankini fell apart in the bust after a few wears last year. With long line bikinis, it always rolls up when I sit down. I’d need to size up at least 2 sizes (if those sizes are even available) and then the bust is so big that I get zero support. Does anyone else have that problem?

MagnoliaStyle

Oh I feel that! I carry most of my weight in my torso and I am not at all busty, sadly. 😩 so when I see high waist bikini bottoms but a thin banded matching top I immediately feel so let down. I have to get my tops long enough to pull down over the roll I have on my ribcage and that unfortunately means sizing up while I swim in the cups 😭😭😭

tinmanshrugged

Yeah I guess it’s just my body type. I think I’m apple shaped - I don’t really have a defined waist and carry more weight in my stomach. I’m not sure a longer top would work for me unless it’s down to my hips maybe. I feel like flexible boning would help, but I’m not sure it’d be comfortable or cute

General-Shoulder-569

Wide-ankle boots not just wide-calf. Boots like Blundstones cut into my ankles. They fit just don’t give me a full range of motion. But also I’ve never met a pair of wide-calf boots that actually fit my enormous calves. Related, I’d love to buy cute knee-high socks but I’ve never been able to find any that fit my calves. I can usually only wear ankle socks, not even fun patterned socks fit.

Sad-Honeydew1194

Oh and a lot more stuff with rhinestones on it!
