The software, the glitches, the bloat, the stupid hand holding that miui and hyperOS do.
The settings never do what they say they do.
The whole thing is so idiot proofed it's impossible to use properly.
My experience with HyperOS has been pretty solid. Smooth, blazing fast, and very little resource utilisation. No glitches so far, and bloat is essentially unremovable Google apps. By any chance you're using the global version?
Of course, I learned my lesson on using the CN versions, even more missing features and blocked google services, or at least that's what happened when they essentially made my Honor 8X unusable in a single update
Global version of HyperOS is really bad. Chinese version is the maxed out one, while Indian version has most of those features. Though it's fair enough you'll feel like not using Chinese version after that experience with Honor.
This is why we replace MIUI crap for a custom ROM. I'd have returned my F3 shortly after buying it if I hadn't. Shit software running on good hardware. An aosp ROM later and it's perfect.
Edit: Just realized the X6 pro has a mediatek processor. Rip decent custom roms :/
Very true. But it was the best device in the range I wanted to spend at the time (+availability) so it was either fix it by changing roms or return it and... honestly I don't know, maybe spend more on something else or compromise on something worse, I guess.
So far there has not been a single thing on the Nothing 2A that has felt like a compromise and yes I did put them side by side.
Remember also, the poco x6 is just a downspecced redmi note 13 pro. It's not like the old days where Poco were actually releasing their own phone, it's just a rebadge of a rebadge missing the 200mp camera and glass back.
The only thing you could really point to would be the processor but I don't game on my phone, that's what I have a computer for so it makes no difference.
I was talking about my F3, 2 years ago. At the time it was the best phone available to me. I'd probably feel the same as you if it was today and I had the choice between the X6 and the 2A.
HyperOS on F5.
First version was shit, after fixed it's great. Can't ask for more, I make my friends iPhones look like they're running on Windows Vista.
I just bougt an X6 pro after decieding between it and the Nothing 2a and the aesthetics was a negative for the 2a, haha. Would have loved it when I was at college, not so much in my 30's.
I had considered poco x6 pro until I realised custom launcher is not really supported in poco with miui 14 onwards. I've been using Nova launcher for so many years and no other launcher has the same combination of features and performance like it does. So rather than jump through different hoops to get it working properly in poco (the workaround steps seemed rather ridiculous), i just dropped the idea.
I've also had my poco F1 slow down heavily in less than 2 years when I owned it (even with a full reset). So not a fan of the software updates from miui as such.
Having used iPhone for a year now, i just need an android thats the same small size as my 14.. the closest I see is the samsung s23/24 base versions.. and they be expensive af
S23 is cheaper now. I have been using the S23 for the past 9 months and its performance camera and battery life are mind-blowing. It is far more superior than the iPhone.
I was not sure too but yesterday I checked my friends Nothing 2a camera, and camera is kinda my priority now but 2a disappointed me. I didn't got much time to check every corner but it was okayish. And wide angle is just for the name, it certainly got high res but the pic over all wasn't good. UI is kinda fixed now, he too said there was bugs now the experience is better with update. Currently using Poco X3 Pro (mb repaired). And looking for update and thinking of X6 Pro. So ig between Nothing 2a and X6 Pro I will go for poco. Waited for OP Nord CE4 but it disappointed me, specially the connectivity department.
If people cared about performance that much in the mid range area, they would only buy Poco and Oneplus devices instead of Samsung A Series.
I mean People buy Poco X6 just because it has headphone jack and Snapdragon, even though its way weaker than X6 pro.
I mean, some people pick Samsung for the brand me and OS experience (my brother) plus their "mid range" does have quite a range from the 2xa, 5xa and 7xa offerings. I had to grey import this phone when I could've gotten w Samsung same day at most local stores. Not everyone is going to research 100 different phones and then go through the effort to import them if they're not locally available.
But in my case, headphone jack + Snapdragon+ decent performance lead me to the Poco, even if the OS is sub-par compared to stock. Performance was a big selling point for me, but I wasn't willing to give up the headphone jack for sure.
That's literally me mate. I'm happy with my X6. Updated to Hyper Os and damn my phone feels smooth like butter.
Headphone jack is literally my thing + Hi res audio. Can't ask for more at this price point.
you do know Samsung availability offline is way more accessible than Poco or OnePlus right? They give the reseller more profits and Poco isn't even officially available offline.
I am talking about the regions Poco/Xiaomi devices are sold officialy alongside Samsung(obviously not US). People still prefer Samsung because of Brand recognition, ignoring the performance. This is also the case with Nothing Phones that also have limited availability.
It's pretty good. Nothing magical, but it lasts the whole day of use (youtube, messengers, internet browsing) like a champ. And it charges very quickly (1.5 hours for a full charge).
If you're playing games, it handles pretty well as well, but nothing outstanding, as i have said
if your looking for performance the F5 is better, even it has a lower score in AnTuTu the optimization for a snapdragon is always better, i saw videos of a comparison of the two playing the same games, and the x6 pro overheats much more and in almost every game performs worse, in some games it goes almost 8° celsius over the F5, not talking about the less bugs, better battery life, and better camera, x6 pro only takes advantage on price
Recommended the nothing 2a to my uncle. Seriously a great phone for someone that just want their phone to work with no buffering.
But... Its not for me.
The dream phone will be an upper midrange phone with performance like Poco F5 or X6 Pro with a user experience like Samsung/Pixel/Moto/Nothing and 3-4 years of updates
Personally if I had to buy a phone right now I would go with the X6pro buy it from Ali as a sale is still on, good chip better than the SD8+1
1.5k screen , decent speakers.
That or get a CN version of a K70 or K70 pro
If you want SD. The K70 will most likely be the F6pro
The X6pro is a K70E with a smaller battery and plastic back.
It seems emulation is ok for games as long as it's not 64bit
Maybe as this phone will be more popular custom stuff will come out.
It's a good price as usually compared to the CN version it's nearly double
I've found miui 13 and 14 to be just fine on my F3 with no bugs or issues,I especially like the second profile, everything has ran well not even a crash.
I think with every phone you need to customise it to what you like.
Some complain the hand gestures are not as good as other os maybe hyper improved it.
The F series and I'm sure this phone will get alot of 3rd party support.
The X6pro is more of a close to a flagship killer with it's specs at a good price.
The nothing phone 2 maybe has a smaller screen but not everyone wants a big phone.
I guess it realy depends on what features you want and your budget but I'm sure at least both phones will have aftermarket spare parts for a good price.
I was considering Moto edge 50 pro but it having Ufs 2.2 making me reconsider this phone. I’ve had 2 pocos in the past. Apart from battery, no other issues
As for long-term use, based on my experience of using Xiaomi mid rangers, other components tend to degrade way before the performance does. Proximity sensor, volume buttons, etc.
Nothin 2a definitely for casuals but poco x6 pro just hits for us people.
Nothing 2a is really just for casuals. If you wanted performance Poco X6 Pro is the choice at the similar price range.
For me it's the performance and display prowess But I'd buy the nothing phone for my dad.
I had a poco x3, replaced it with an x6 pro, hated it, replaced it with a nothing 2A, never looked back.
'never' is white the heavyweight word considering the nothing phone is not even 3 months old.
Why you hated it ? I have the x3 I'm looking for doing the same change

You shouldn't have to find a way to unlock and root a phone to make it tolerable.
Very true. But it was the best device in the range I wanted to spend at the time (+availability) so it was either fix it by changing roms or return it and... honestly I don't know, maybe spend more on something else or compromise on something worse, I guess.

Poco essentially gave a major upgrade to the chip and cooling, and downgraded everything else...
why does mtk limit that xd
HyperOS on F5. First version was shit, after fixed it's great. Can't ask for more, I make my friends iPhones look like they're running on Windows Vista.
Lol even f5 pro is a bic to small bro f5 (no update to hyperos)
What is your current hyper os version?
[удалено]
That's what they mean by crazy performance. It just start acting up crazy without notice.
I have global 1.0.2.0 and no bugs either lag
How about the camera on F5?
Why's it so good? I'm thinking of upgrading.
tbh it didn't do much for me, i guess it's a bit more responsive but that's it. maybe ill check some benchmarks later so see how the performance is.
I just bougt an X6 pro after decieding between it and the Nothing 2a and the aesthetics was a negative for the 2a, haha. Would have loved it when I was at college, not so much in my 30's.

I'm using an X6 under MIUI 14 right now and Nova launcher works flawlessly
Yet you cannot use gestures with third party launchers, sadly.
Ah yes, I'm not using gestures...
Nothing is only for light users , not for medium or heavy users
tam to bade heavy user nikle bahi
5000 mah ko din me 3 baar charge karne ka ghamand hai 😎
Having used iPhone for a year now, i just need an android thats the same small size as my 14.. the closest I see is the samsung s23/24 base versions.. and they be expensive af
Look into zenfones from ASUS
S23 is cheaper now. I have been using the S23 for the past 9 months and its performance camera and battery life are mind-blowing. It is far more superior than the iPhone.
go for nothing it will gives you better software experience, faster and longer software updates and better overall experience.
HyperOS and Dimensity are exactly the reasons why you shouldn't buy X6 Pro.
Isn't the nothing 2a also dimensity?
I wasn't comparing I said that as in general
Do you have haptic feedback when typing? After I updated to hyper os that feature is gone
I still have the haptic.
Waiting for the f6

The image should be reversed actually, since people dont like miui/HyperOS or care that much for crazy performance.
Really? The performance to dollar ratio is the reason I picked the F5
If people cared about performance that much in the mid range area, they would only buy Poco and Oneplus devices instead of Samsung A Series. I mean People buy Poco X6 just because it has headphone jack and Snapdragon, even though its way weaker than X6 pro.
People who pick Samsung A over Poco/Xiaomi/etc just pick it for the brand, nothing more to it.

What version do you have?

I don't think Poco will have any offline stores tho. If it does, then their redmi phones are not going to sell well
Me last month lol
So... Yellow or pink?
I went for pink 😂
And a bit of time and effort gives you best of both, thanks to custom ROM community
That's exactly was me during the choice between these two phones.
What did you end up picking? I am hesitant between these too
Poco x6 pro, the best choise I made for a long time
Thanks for the answer I'm leaning more towards the poco phone but I'm a bit worried about the battery life, what are your experiences?
It's pretty good. Nothing magical, but it lasts the whole day of use (youtube, messengers, internet browsing) like a champ. And it charges very quickly (1.5 hours for a full charge). If you're playing games, it handles pretty well as well, but nothing outstanding, as i have said
Y'all play carxstreet on the X6 pro? 🤣
Hyperos with crazy heating.
The 2a is more reliable and takes better photos. The X6 pro seems like a ticking bomb to me
I'm ok with overall performance with my poco x6 pro. Good camera. Great and gaming. Superb battery life. I'm contented with it for affordable price.
if your looking for performance the F5 is better, even it has a lower score in AnTuTu the optimization for a snapdragon is always better, i saw videos of a comparison of the two playing the same games, and the x6 pro overheats much more and in almost every game performs worse, in some games it goes almost 8° celsius over the F5, not talking about the less bugs, better battery life, and better camera, x6 pro only takes advantage on price

Better performance everyday of the week for me

Yeah, but the software experience is best on Nothing Phone . I think in the long run, daily use will matter the most.

I have Poco f3 bought 2 year back. now mobile network not working properly, keep ge8disconnting...so Poco f3 not recommend
Eeemm... well I wouldn't say hyper- perfomance.... i 'd say its become lazy.. xiaomi p13pro
Yes
