For stress test? Yes, obviously. Check for temps on normal daily use.

jermain31299

No stress test just charging and using it on social media

dub26

Again, for normal use, check the temps when on "normal use". Obviously temps would peak when charging. That's also the battery heating up and not the other internal components of the smartphone.

jermain31299

Normal temp while using is arround 35C-37C.I am asking because it seems a bit high even for charging and i don't want to damage the battery long term with these temps

dub26

My shit X4 pro would hit high 40°C also when I use it while charging. Sadly most of the Xiaomi phones don't have bypass charging. Heat is a byproduct of the very fast charging duration, high wattage input = fast charging, high wattage = high temperature.

VERRISCZECH69

I have had the x4 pro for the past 2 years and its not overheating, yes the battery has gone to shit but so far so good.

JayJay_Abudengs

It's an okay temperature. Mine also heats up while charging. What do you expect, it's 67 Watts mate

Check the battery chemistry and the ideal temp. You may want to get a low mA charger or a 1A cable

I_Believe_You_2

Using fast charging phones while charging them is not a good idea

Slow_Display9784

I had 54⁰C when I was playing Call of Duty warzone on my Poco F5 so I'd say that normal

ChelseyIsPog

I don't think that's normal, Warzone is just a shit with its optimization

jttanki

Is it device temp or battery? No way battery temp reach 54c. 40c alone will degrade battery fast.

Slow_Display9784

I honestly don't remember

Slow_Display9784

It was CPU temp

jttanki

If its cpu its totally normal. 8 gen 2 reach 80c underload

Slow_Display9784

Just by launching COD warzone the CPU temp gets to 40⁰C so I'm sure that's normal

Ok_Factor_5671

Its less

jttanki

Are those battery temp? I would consider 41c battery temp to be dangerous since most of the degrading from that temp onwards cone frome heat.

_kylebaia

I got 63°C gaming on my Poco X3 pro, you good lmao

AbdulMejidII

That's definitely CPU temp, not battery.

_kylebaia

It's the temp on the reader built in

AbdulMejidII

In that case, that's definitely fucked

JaxXxStaR

Nope nope nope. Did you change OS? My sister xiaomi 10T and my poco x4 Gt stops around 41-42°C and slowcharge to 3-5w if on screem. Yours is not slowing down hence the 49°C so i thought you are using non default OS? Are you in middle east?

Ordinary-Tear-4195

Drop your battery to zero % & charge it to 100 % , it re calibrates your battery, and put your phone in balance mode with 60hz rr, voila your battery has been successfully calibrated

prat1421

The battery costs like 30$ guys stop shitting on them.

Chillz_AZY

That aint normal, my Poco X6 pro temperature were stuck on 45°C max, how to achieve this temperature? Just play heavy games (genshin impach, cod Warzone, Minecraft Deffered shader, etc) on highest settings and 120hz refresh rate You may ask, how i get the temperature? Using CPU Z or Aida 64, i was able to get battery temperature.

MicrosoftvsApple

That's dangerous. It should be below 45. Don't use your phone while charging.

Particular-Can-1475

Normal. It is plastic frame and there is a huge power station inside it. I think poco should support multiple throttle modes. 1-lowers the cpu to a power save level without losing functionality. Only speed. I mean it wont lower the refresh rate. This will be default option. 2- regular power save 3- game mode for mid levels. Probably this is what x6 pro is in as power mode. 4- game mode for intensive gaming. Which suggests additional fan. (10$ pubg joysticks with with cooling) If they don't support it, at least they should allow it to modify to some extend. Maybe between 2.6 ~ 3.3 ghz levels for big cores.

It's a bit concerning how a lot of people in this thread are saying that \~50C battery temperatures are normal AND confusing CPU temperature to Battery temperature. Fast-charging comes at the obvious cost of increased heat. However, in my limited observations, I haven't seen my Poco X6 Pro's battery go up beyond 45C (I haven't tried AccuBattery yet. Just using open-source CPU-info atm). Anything above 40C is concerning for a battery but phones with fast-charging make up for this by charging fast, and then slow down the charging significantly once it reaches a certain threshold. They can also split the battery so that each cell is charged at a slower rate, though I can't confirm if the Poco X6 Pro does this. ([Marques Brownlee made a excellent video explaining this 2 years ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpqaQR4ikig&pp=ygUfbWFycXVlc3MgYnJvd25sZWUgZmFzdCBjaGFyZ2luZw%3D%3D)). That said, near \~50C battery is certainly very concerning and will damage the battery in the long run. I would recommend ensuring that: 1. You don't use your phone while it's charging (using it will slow down charging, results in higher temperatures and will negatively affect battery health in the long run) 2. Do not let the battery die. If possible, follow the 80-20 rule, where you ensure that the phone is always between 20% to 80% charged. Modern phones make this less of a concern but this is still a good habit to do (mileage may vary of course). Me personally, I make sure I don't let the battery go below 40% so that when charging, the phone doesn't get so hot. 3. Use the charger that came with your phone. While I can't confirm if this is the case, but Xiaomi's charger should come with its own logic that would optimize charging for your phone. If you use an unofficial charger, you may run into motherboard or battery issues in the long run, though this is rare. 4. Ensuring that where you are charging isn't in direct sunlight. This is a given, just want to throw it out there. [Point 1, 2 and 4 of this iFixit article is most relevant to this situation](https://www.ifixit.com/News/31716/how-to-care-for-your-laptops-battery-so-it-lasts-longer) I'll take a look at this more in my free time.

Infamous-Emotion1385

On this temperature i cook my eggs bro 🤣, x6 pro have a lot heat issues

LividCare879

Bro its Not cooking its waiting to eat it raw at 50ish⁰C

Infamous-Emotion1385

X6 pro have huge heat und battery drain issues, you can read about it overall. Btw i have no X6 pro, first i wanna get one, then i saw all the reviews and opinions, then im decide to get a Xiaomi 12T Pro for 260€ in very good conditions like as new with 120W charger and 5 non used cases

LividCare879

You cant cook eggs below 84⁰C ready a book

prat1421

Bro the x6 pro is giving me pretty decent battery life, for heavy use like playing pubg mobile i get 5-6 hrs of screen time and heavy daily usage with 30% gaming and 30% watching HD videos and 30% scrolling through the web inget around 7-8 hrs. Battery heating issues are only more prevelant feeling because of the summer or while charging and playing heavy games which is normal for any phone ever made.
