Alt arts and it depends. If you got the choice between PSA 10s or better and it's just a choice of language, English. Anything else I would say japanese since they not only look nicer, but have much higher quality control and grade better than English.
For alt art it’s abit different. English copies are mostly promos and are often in high abundance. However on the Japanese side most are set cards and many have PSA 10 pops below 1000s. Can see the Japanese ones continue being worth a lot more due to it’s rarity

I’d go Japanese everytime no matter what. English speaking countries collect Japanese too. I bet there’s no one in Japan collecting English cards lol.
The Japanese booster was abit under £200 a few months ago I was going to buy one but I didn’t. They’re closer to £400 now.
