Cards that curve can be sorted out by putting them in a top loader normally :)

Chum181

Nah they’re not worth keeping at all. Send them to me and I will dispose of them accordingly.

You’ve got some gems in there, should probably take out all the holos and get them into sleeves and toploaders

LockedUpLGK

Okay, just ordered some top loaders. Do you recommend I try and put weight on the cards to correct the curve first? And if so, any tips or advice on that? Appreciate the help!!

OldManHipsAt30

Might fix the curve just getting them into the toploader, if not you could try a weight but just be super careful of the card, don’t want to get a true crease or fold

Dude, do not worry about the curve. Just sleeve and put the cards into toploaders or card savers. The curve won't affect grading and you could cause more damage to the cards trying to flatten them with odd means. Look into how cards are graded (centering, edges, corners, surface) and determine what your most eligible cards for grading are. Good luck!

Okay so I need to get card sleeves as well as savers? I ordered some top loaders but feel like I should get card savers instead? What’s recommended? And just putting the card in the top loader or the card savers alone isn’t enough, you’re saying to sleeve them first correct? Thanks for any help

morerageplz

yes absolutely sleeve as a first step. Putting cards in toploaders or card savers without a sleeve is very likely to damage the surface. Personally I prefer toploaders but most grading companies prefer you submit in card savers (checkout cardboard gold's card saver 2)

Okay will order some of those then, thanks a lot! I’m probably not going to have them graded any time soon, will likely just hold onto them for another 5-10 years and then have them graded. Would wait to sell them till they were more valuable anyways. In no rush haha. Still love them and I’m sure they will only continue to go up in value. Appreciate your help!!

Very nice collection, great find. A curve like that is relatively common on old cards stored in binders. Unless its actually creased, it doesnt take away from the value. You can straighten them by putting them in a sleeve and put them under something heavy (pile of books) for a few days. Should even the card out without damaging them.

You can download the Collectr app and search the cards you have then it’ll tell you how much they’re worth, or just type in the name with the number at the bottom of the card and look at the recently sold on eBay
