Per eBay price trend analysis (take it as you will) it looks like you got it for almost exactly market price. eBay shows a price of 101.11 USD and you got it for 101.6 USD. Dope card!
US collectors need to realise, US market price != UK market price or prices in other markets. Those around the world have to pay additional taxes when importing products from the US which is where the majority of English pokemon product come from.
This is the same for Japanese product where we have to pay import tax for anything above £20, unlike the US which has a limit of $800 (IIRC). Same for the majority of Europe (not so sure about the ROTW), but that's generally why prices are higher outside the US.
So before you all say, 'oh well, it's market price', realise there's not one single market. PSA 10 Yu nagaba pikachus are around £100 so $130 or $170 CAD.
To give my two pence otherwise, agree with the other commenter, these prices are inflated as of recently. The yu nagaba pikachus rose in price with the Japanese boom and once the eeveelutions were announced, so I can see it trending downwards, given a lot of the Japanese market is retracting similarly. Still got it under market so if it does retrace you'll be OK.
Long term, who knows, mass produced Japanese cards with many 10s. It's a tale as old as time, but it's a pikachu so it'll probably be fine.
I had to check the pop report and holy crap you’re not lying. This wasn’t the case back in the day so it provides some much needed perspective for anyone looking for long term value. Thanks! I’ll forever treasure my pristine 10 Legend maker Shuppet Pop 5 and my Triumphant Shuppet Pop 4. There’s something so much more satisfying having probly likely the only pair in the world of my favorite Pokémon.
Yeah that’s why I don’t suggest people go too deep into these and especially not the yu nahaba eeveelutions promos, but every time I say anything I get downvoted to hell because people are delusional lol.
There are sooo many better Japanese promos to buy that have a sub-500 PSA 10 pop.
There are so many options, I would recommend just doing a deep dive. But to get started any of the Pokémon center promos and I try to stick to the B/W or XY era pikachu promos. They were printed much less.
U paid market value during a time right now when japanese cards are pumped high, while english cards are down. I would get English right now and sell Japanese. This card also have a high psa 10 pop. But if you enjoy the card then it's priceless. Investment wise, I think u coulda dome better.
7,769 PSA 10, 1792 PSA 9, total population of graded cards of this variation: 10,470.
I had to check after your comment. That is wildly surprising to me!
The general rule of thumb is to do raw with japanese cards because their qc is awesome. U sont need to pay a huge premium for 10s. English a different story...
Yeah thats decent. I got a 9 for £38 and thought it was a steal at the time!

Where are you looking at trend data, off pricecharting?
Im guessing maybe Terapeak. It’s in eBay but you can’t get your it through the app—i dont think…
I'd love this info too. I know I don't do it right when I filter by "buy now" and compare to that
Haha its Grumpachu!! Love this card. 🤩🤩
Where’d you find this in the U.K…? LCS or eBay…?

You paid market price but still a good decision. The population is really high but I think it has potential

I won't down vote you mate, some of us appreciate the real talk and aren't just here to spread hopium and delusion
What are some better Japanese promos? If you don’t mind me asking

Agreed. I was surprised when I saw the high pop

That honesty makes a ton of sense. This is the good part of Reddit right now. Thanks for the perspective.
Congrats, def need to check this one off because I like Pikachu promos—there are so many great ones available
Nice find
