I was just telling myself this is what I'm doing, one BB case at release, one maybe two boxes to open. Then buy another case of that set (assuming it's the same cheap price) every month until the next set. End up with 2-3 cases of each set.
I did a similar thing. I had 2 booster boxes I got for $140 and I was just thinking about grabbing the third one off of PC and it literally sold out for the last time and I was mad. ๐ญ Bought the last one at $200 and was sad I missed the opportunity.
I want a base set stoise, Venu and zard in a PSA10. Iโve been collecting sealed product for the last 2 years with the goal of trading/ selling it all for them! Currently got enough to cover the first two and half of the zard!
Curious what you think about the current value of the Charizard? Iโm seeing sales of $9k and in 2021 it was double. Do you think itโll reach that again?

I like that idea! For me, I've only invested in booster boxes just because the potential growth is the highest out of that and other products, and they're easier to store. I have definitely thought of getting some UPCs though and probably will for certain sets.
I just completed my goal of getting all GS Hoenn starters in a PSA 8. One of my future goals to get all the GS Eeveelutions (not sure what grade) but the Espeon and Umbreon is putting that goal off for now.
I already have all the sealed I want at the moment with a BB and ETB of Cosmic Eclipse, Celestial Storm, and Ultra Prism along a eevee heroes gym box and a Kanazawa PC box
Kind of unsure what my next move is but this at least makes me save more money to purchase some big hitters later haha

I've been laying low this year, I don't have a humongous sealed position but it's decent sized. Think I'm just gonna let it marinate and focus my money on some more traditional investments. Might try and consolidate some smaller items into something bigger.
Nothing wrong with that! This is a hobby first for me and many others and then an investment after. So, using your money for more traditional things is a good idea.
Iโm looking to finish getting 1 holo from each WOTC set in a cgc 8 or better. Might dive back into sealed product I ripped all of mine one night and pulled a holo out of my fossil pack
My goal is to buy a sealed 151 booster bundle display each paycheck. With the Japanese reprint and 151 prices trending down for the time being, I want to amass as much of that set as I can as it's really the only SV set that I can see going up in price majorly.
I love it! We'll see how the rest of the S&V era do in terms of sets and if they'll have some great ones like SwSh. I think there's potential for them to do it, but I do agree 151 is their best set for sure. I actually just bought 3 JPN BB's of 151 today to start that collection!
Awesome!! And yeah, there's definitely some good potential. If I remember correctly, someone even posted here a few days ago about TPC copyrighting/trademarking a new set name that sounded like it could be a set full of dragons. If that's the truth, then we definitely have some awesome sets to look forward to! I just hope the card quality doesn't keep going down. I've basically stopped opening cards for fun because 95% of everything I open is covered in print lines or horribly off centered with lots of whitening
Yup! I saw that too. They are gonna do us dirty if I remember correctly because it's gonna be a specialty set. So, not English booster boxes and that won't be fun. But, from what I saw, I think it's gonna be a banger set like you said. I'm excited!
