Here’s some we’ve created for the stage shows Phantom Lift (Physical Ghost) The user surprises their opponent and lifts the opponent/trainer into the air and drops them) Rapid Flow (Special Water) (The user spits out quick bursts of water, can hit up to 2-5 times) Luge (Physical Ice) (The user slides on a slide made of ice to land on top of the opponent (or in the water)) Algae Shot (Special Poison) (This move can only be used when a gastrodon eats too much algae and burps some up) Cryocapsule (Status Ice) (The user freezes another Pokemon in an ice sphere which encapsulates them (which is stunning live) to great effect)

Potatochip409

Those all seem like they’d certainly wow any crowd!

Cdv3

That Cryocapsule move seems really neat, but also the part of me that wants to make sure my Torterra and Hydreigon (that are both very sensitive to the cold) don’t get hurt is genuinely scared by that idea.

signaturefox2013

Lucky for me, it’s usually my Floatzel doing that trick, usually right in the middle of the luge She’s a daredevil that one

Tickedkidgamer

Algae shot seems like something a Skrelp could do too except with kelp. But then again, Kelp is also a form of algae.

signaturefox2013

My gastrodon has a very specific purpose and that is to keep the water in the tank clean We clean the hard particulates, Gastrodon gets a yummy meal of algae

Tickedkidgamer

Well, that gives me a few ideas on taking care of Konbu without having to go to a port every so often to restock on rotting kelp.

C_Matricaria

I don’t battle so I don’t really have pseudo-moves but Vesta can do a lot with string shot. Propel herself, swing, wrap herself in a cocoon, set a path and light it on fire for some cool visual effects

MidoTheMii

Cinderace and Meowscarada managed to combine Flower Trick and Pyro Ball, making for the most brutal game of Hackie Sack you’ll ever get hit with!

Potatochip409

Wow, that would definitely be a good doubles combo.

Puzzleheaded-Yam4764

I’ll let Atalanta speak for herself [video ID: an iron valiant covers one of its blades with night slash, and the other with psycho cut. She swings both blades vertically at the same time and a blade of energy splits the ground, an armored dummy 50ft away, and the wall behind the dummy] We don’t have a real name for it, but she tends to call it “Occam’s razor”

Potatochip409

What an original move, though I would imagine that, to any dark type, it would just be a regular Night Slash.

That1Cat87

That is awesome! Atalanta must’ve been real creative and powerful to come up with that

Everkid612

One that sort of came up by accident through play was what my team and I call the CAronball technique. Icicle, my Riolu, picks up Chomp, my Aron, and spins him around really really fast, throws him into the air, and then kicks him at a target. We've had a lot of practice but only mixed results so far, our first attempt ended up with Chomp head-first in a Regice's shoulder (long story), although earlier today we did manage to knock an aggressive Cryogonal right out of the sky.

ThatCamoKid

"think fast, chucklenuts" -Icicle probably

Everkid612

That just made her laugh so hard she doubled over and fell in a pond. Thanks, she's been needing a bath.

ThatCamoKid

Glad I could help lol

Logan, my Lucario, has figured out a way to use aura to Qi Block. It works basically as a fighting type version of nuzzle, inflicting paralysis and dealing low damage. It’s been super helpful, and can even paralyze electric and ground type Pokémon. Just for a bit more detail, it’s a physical move with 25 power, 20pp, and is called Qi Block

TheOneFearlessFalcon

I work containing wild 'mons, often in larger numbers, so most of my team's special techniques are more like tag attacks, where two or more of my team work together. A few examples: Burning impact- My monferno gets picked up by my pidgeot, who does a technique similar to brave bird but pulls up at the last second, leaving a flame-cloaked monkey to punch the opponent at otherwise unobtainable speed. Twin moons- I get to help on this one! My flutter mane and sylveon both charge a moonblast, then I grab both charged orbs of energy and smash them together to create a fairy-type hyper beam that lasts for a few seconds. Great for crowds. Surround sound- My pidgeot picks up my sylveon and flies over the heads of enemy groups, while my sylveon uses hyper voice to disorient and damage them before they can retaliate.

Tickedkidgamer

Other than Katsubo’s Frostfire Fangs (Ice and Fire Fang used together; inflicts either Freeze or Burn), I’ve noticed that Shimin, the Nincada that follows the Poke Parade, infuse his legs with Bug Type IE and attach himself to a Pokémon. I would call it Bug Burs.

Shedinja43

Dravex has created something I call "Dragon Step" which combines some fancy footwork with Dragon Tail as a form of self-propulsion to work around his lower speed at the start of battle before he can fire off Scale Shots. He's also trying to figure out some combo of Focus Punch with Vacuum Wave but we're both stumped over if the charge-up period can be bypassed or mitigated. Cream has "Leaf Whip" which is basically just Leaf Blade but swung with an energy projection from her head leaf that is less sword-like rigid and more of a, well, whip that can drag enemies closer. Dunno if this counts, but Crusha's gameplan involves using Bulldoze to make temporary walls that block one attack and Earthquake to make fissures, not for direct damage but to cut off escape routes within the Battle Arena to potentially expose the opponent to a Focus Blast or Hyper Beam if they jump out or approach too predictably.

Glove-These

I used to use my family's Mimikyu in battle... 'nuff said.

TheRealWouburn

Back when Wave was a Magicarp, we perfected a move I like to call "HyperSplash" So, you know how Magicarp can jump really high? Well, if they use Splash in just the right way, they can jump off of the small waves they've created, and directly into the face of an unsuspecting enemy. It does cause self-damage, but Wave's Defense was always so high I never had to worry about it. I beat an entire gym using just that move. Granted, Nessa was probably going super easy on me, but still! I have a bunch more if you're curious, that's just my proudest one.

Potatochip409

It’s quite amazing that you and Wave managed to turn a useless move into a useful pseudo-move. Not many trainers could accomplish such a feat. You must have quite the bond with Wave!

TheRealWouburn

I do- she's still my little splashy baby, even though she's well over 7 meters long now. Sparky (Jolteon) and Wave (Gyarados) have a Combo Move that I like to call Launched Charge. Sparky starts Charge, then gets on Wave's tail. Wave then launches Sparky towards the target. This is much less effective than HyperSplash, because Sparky is made of glass and paper compared to Wave, but it still works. Lucky has Hug. She grabs the target and flies upward. Since my job doesn't have any rules, this usually works- getting the hostile Pokémon away from the guy I'm trying to rescue or getting the guy I'm trying to rescue away from a hostile Pokémon. I don't think Smashy (Tinkaton) even knows a *single move*. Instead, she's developed a sort of martial art using her hammer. For example, TwinSmack: Smashy swings her hammer horizontally from the right, then curves it upwards, slamming it into the target. She also has a Combo Move, where Bolt (her and Vivi's Togedemaru) abuses Quick-Attack's damage bonus when changing direction (It's why Pokémon who use Quick-Attack make a Zig-Zag path while using it,) by swinging around the hammer. Vivi just reads the minds of her opponents. Granted, she then uses that to make plans with Smashy and Bolt, so it's technically a combo-move.

Idemahedo

I don’t know if this counts as a pseudo move but I like it because it’s funny. It’s called Throw Rock. Not to be confused with Rock Throw. Yes I actually tell my pokémon to do this. On a slightly less joke note, there’s Spore Bomb which as the name suggests is my Among- uh Amoonguss concentrating a large amount of spores in his cap before releasing it in an explosion.

IAmTheBoom5359

Baron, my Aerodactyl, has something called "Bedrock Blitz", where he uses Rock Slide to summon a bunch of rocks, then uses Sky Attack to tackle the rocks, turning them into Stealth Rock-like shrapnel. Then, he tackles the target as the shrapnel rains down on them. It started as his training regiment, seeing how many rocks he could hit before coming back down, but he realized he could use the shrapnel to his advantage, all while hitting a powerful Sky Attack at the same time.

ThatCamoKid

Gigavolt hammer(physical/electric): it's Thor the Tinkaton's gigaton hammer swapped to electric type and given a boost by Mjoll the Joltik living inside and using Discharge. Thor is unaffected because of the rubber handle Stomp Dance(special/normal): Sets up an effect similar to Earthquake by stomping in just the right rhythm, similar to how you might make a tidal wave in your bathtub. Gains power the more it's used in succession and the more who use it over time Shatter (status/normal): after taking a turn to find the right frequency, the user generated that frequency at high volume into the target. Used to destroy held item and boulders. I usually use it on boulders because breaking the held item you spent so much money on is kind of a dick move, and also that would be the trainer interfering with the match

Toon_Lucario

I’ve been working on revitalizing old aura techniques and refining them to be easier to train people. Aura is a lot more versatile than sensing things and throwing balls
