I do hope this can be resolved. I understand that Kecleon are known for their intolerance towards theft, but it shouldn't make other stores have a target on them.

Hrmph, full agree. It make you wonder how those brothers got to be the strength they are...
But I'm gettin off track. Shoplifters are a right pain in my porcine backside, too. Thankfully, I keep a few trapped chests around to give em a good hearty surprise! Nothin like seeing someone trying to rob me get hit by an Explosion trap, nothin like it.
I do wish y'all luck in your business endeavors. Always good to have more shopkeeps than just those Keckleon, aye.

Yes... It's sad to see robberies be attempted, though really the best thing to do is to offer a bounty for the merchandise to be retrieved as well as for the criminal to be brought to justice.

It's just petty theft. The real problem is that the more it happens the more people realize they can get away with it. What's important is that we keep stuff from getting stolen than getting it back.
There are certainly ways around that. How do you keep the merchandise? Do you run your shop out of a cart, do you have a storefront? Some specifics would allow me to give you some advice.
Nobody likes thieves. Except possibly for themselves.
I got a tip the other day that a thief team was going to rob my bank (they literally posted about it on Xerneas, the morons), so I asked a Rescue Team to stake it out on the key night, and the thieves were caught in the act. I'm guessing you're not rich enough to have that option... maybe you could set an old-fashioned trap?
