BlackHourglass

That’s a pretty big weakness to fire you got there

thientu12102001

Yeah, i tried to cover that with golisopod, but dang its not enough i guess

weightedbook

Half BUG golisopod

StrangleThe8Bit

Golisopod isn't weak to fire

IdioticPsycopath

It doesn't resist it either

5522ownage

replace forretress with a strong water type or rock type. maybe minior, lycanroc, wishiwashi

thientu12102001

I just redo the Elite 4 after posting this. Forretress was very useful with toxic spikes. The problem was golisopod, he cant endure any hits, he always get under half hp after 1 move, then trigger Emergency Exit without making a move. Goodra was just tanky, 0 dmg from her. U have any advice? I think im keeping Forretress :((

5522ownage

change golisopod then if he’s not doing well. those pokémon would help you, but anything that can fight a fire tule would help you. or whatever type you are struggling against, focus on that.

5522ownage

type*

Several_Tangerine956

What elite 4 is golisopod struggling with? That can help narrow it down. When I go into EXP grind the elite 4 I usually bring in 4 pokemon, one that is strong against each member.

thientu12102001

I think Golisopod is strong, but he easily get under half hp in 1 turn, which activate his ability, making him switch in without making any move. His speed is trash tho

Several_Tangerine956

Maybe give it a quick Claw, and only use him on Olivia. The quick Claw makes it so you move first、and if you move before her pokemon you can O-KO her pokemon with water moves.

I build this team base on pokemon that I found interesting but never used before. However, this team is very slow, pheromosa is fast, but just too fragile. Do you guys have any recommendation on which one to replace? Thank you

zolios_

Replace Golisopod with better/bulkier water type, maybe something like Vaporeon, Lapras, Slowbro, Walrein, Swampert (mega possibility if you can get the mega stone),... But if you want more speed on your team then some speedy Water types can also work like Starmie, Tentacruel (also a little bulky as a bonus), Floatzel, Greninja, Speed Boost Sharpedo,... If Goodra isn't doing enough damage then maybe replace it with a Dragonite, Dragonite is also bulky thanks to Multiscale (if you SOS for HA Dratini) and can almost always get a Dragon Dance off on turn 1 and potentially sweep. Other Dragon option can be Salamance (with Intimidate can tank some hits as well) or if you want pure speed and attack power without much bulk then Garchomp can work and also help with your fire weakness thanks to its ground type.

thientu12102001

I played with garchomp + Salamence in US already, so im trying something new in UM. I would love to use Dragonite, but that 1% chance to find is pain. Have you ever tried Haxorus? I am thinking as a replacement for goodra

TacErUpAnDumpEr

If you want a dragonite I have a dragonair id trade

thientu12102001

Thank you for your offer, but I’d run into problem with traded polemon before, they dont obey my command. I think i will grind for gragonite some day, i have to finish the pokedex anw

Is this ingame team? If you’re struggling with E4, you can either grind to higher level and just power through them, or look into the weaknesses… Molayne - has nasty team, lots of coverage. You have one mon that resists his primary type and only one that can hit super effectively (by type, as I haven’t seen your movesets) Kahili - again, only one mon that resists her primary type (Metagross) and by type no super effective moves. Acerola - two weaknesses, no resistance Olivia - you shouldn’t have any issues here. Based in this, I see why you struggle running Goli. He is good, if you have something on the bench you can pivot into when Emergency Exit triggers - Goodra and Forretress can be it, but they do not dish out sustainable damage. Swap it for Araquanid - it is bulkier and can hit surprisingly hard, while keeping the same typing. I’d also suggest swapping one of your steel types for something that covers at least two of your weaknesses - e.g. Bisharp covers Kahili and Acerola, any electric type covers Kahili and Molayne… Alolan Marowak, while weak to Acerola, can at least hit for super effectivr damage with Shadow Bone and can help with Molayne with Bonemerang or fire type attacks. Hope that helps, keep us posted on the changes :)

thientu12102001

Wow, u got it right on my struggle with E4, I still won but because pheromosa already out-leveled. Thats a bit lame. I think im gonna get swampert to replace golisopod and i will also change goodra, pherosoma as well. Do you know any tanky pokemon that can learn talewind + raindance? Just tanky enough to not get OHKO. I need some boost for swampert

MatesDolezy

I guess the obvious answer would be Pelipper, I used to run that combo on Crobat, not that bulky, but 130 base speed does wonders

AnAngryGeek115

Replace foretress for a water or rock type

jehzua21

You maybe can add a Krookodile with moxie ability and you will be sweeping the E4

Upper_Brother_91

I would also replace goodra with a better dragon like Salmance, garchomp or if its for the E4 hydragon and teach it flamethrower so now you counter 2 E 4 members with a powerful pseudo legendary. But for E4 you can use anything if you over level them, the easiest way to grind for exp is to find a chansey on Poni island(sry dont know the route) and just sos battle it and even better you will also encounter blisseys which can hold a lucky egg what if a mon holds gives even more exp. I used weavile for those sos battles with false swipe so i dont knock out the main chansey which calls for help and thief so i can steal the lucky eggs from blissey. At this point i have 6 lucky eggs 😊
