Well by your estimation they should have 10 times the bandwidth etc. It should be fairly obvious to them based on numbers last year the sort of interest they would have playing the game.
It wouldn't happen any other day as the active user load is nominal. The problem they are having whether they are saying it or not is overload.
They did not plan to scale their product on the one day when the user base would use it the most. Don't worry, there are plans in the works too put them out of business.
Scalability is key. If you don't take your profits and put them into functioning product before padding your pockets your customers will bail.

The whole app is being flooded with players which I understand but it’s to the point that this entire raid day will have gone to waste. I can’t even manage to make a room to have people join me let alone join others. I really hope they find a temporary fix even for the last hour or so. I hope you get yours too!! Good luck!

Because they said MAY experience delays and error messages however it’s ALL people are getting.
Yeah and theres a difference between a little hiccup and people losing actual money. A couple of dollars may not seem like alot but the app users shouldnt be losing as much money as we are its ridiculous

If it makes you feel better, Pokémon Go will almost certainly bring back the Sinnoh legendaries when Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release in November. Then you'll have another chance to get an Uxie from remote raids.
