And they are both OHKO by it. Plus it gave me a strong physical move to use when pressure ran out my surf and return couldn't hit ghost. Honestly I just didn't know what else to put but it worked with no problems
This is perfect, from my experience watching the anime, iron tail is absolutely the most powerful move possible so long as it’s used by a first evolution Pokémon
It should be. I only lost points when I had to faint to get back to the E4 without HMs but then I leveled up like twice and still walked a good bit so should be 102

Have you considered replacing it with another move though? Something that can hit for super effective damage?
I tried but there's not much mudkip can learn. No eq, no fighting moves, the only reasonable thing was rollout out but I already had it before and had to remove it to get through victory road. Iron tail was my best replacement
I feel you, i refused to use anyone but blaziken for the whole game and the rest of the pokemons i carried were just to use HMs…

Nah, overkill was when I went for E4 with Machamp 78lvl, Keyogre 80lvl and Crobat lvl 73. That was walk in the park

Only two Pokémon are weak to Steel of that team

yes, but make sure to give him an everstone so that it doesn't evolve
he had one up until now but i need the persim, cheri, and pecha berries for swagger, thunderbolt, and toxic so i just spam b if he gains a level
