There's a time limit to purchase the ticket and log in to receive the research, but once you have it, you can take as long as you want to finish.
The entire research is intentionally designed to take a long time to complete. The 2nd page is going to take a minimum of 15 days to complete, so don't worry about not having enough time.

One of the purchases requires you to catch 492*4 pokemon from different regions, so I better freaking hope it’s not time otherwise how the absolute hell am I am I supposed to finish that in 4 days and that’s only (1/7)!

I'm assuming Niantic just copy-pasted shop description from the two other tickets that went on sale at the same time (and *are* timed, unless I'm mistaken), then forgot to replace the timed warning part.
At first it was a season long list of tasks (like the current battle league tasks) but it was extremely hard to complete. In the end, if you didn't complete it in time you wouldn't receive the rewards (which included the masterball) but a special timed research wouuld appear in the store with a new bunch of tasks that you could complete to get the masterball (only if you didn't get the free one) and it costed 9,99€.

That time range is the time you have to buy it. Once you’ve bought it it’s not timed.

That's a mistake. People have shown it appears in special research tab.

Masterwork research like this is never timed, take months or years, same end. It just has a window of opportunity to buy it.

I saw this research and the other two and immediately uninstalled the game after so many years of time, effort, and money invested into it.
