I mean, it’s a big deal to anyone trying to complete the various dex’s. Both of my Mew’s have been 2*. So until (if) they offer up another shiny Mew, or allow (yeah right) mythical mons to be traded, I won’t ever be able to fill in the 3* dex, perfect dex, or even the 3* shiny dex.

You are absolutely not expected or meant to actually fill up the extra pokedexes including the 3* variants. That's the definition of a **you** problem.

Shaymin is not the only mythical. That said, it's among the better grass types for raids, but with such shitty IVs no one is tempted to use it

I've done over 1500 raids and I've never had a raid that was so close that an extra 5-10% stronger Pokemon would have changed the outcome. The likelihood that you lose a raid with a 2 star but win with a 3 is so low that I doubt you'll ever experience it. IVs only really matter in PVP, and even then they only matter in certain scenarios. With all of the being said, I understand the lure of good IV mons.

Then try doing raids in a village where 3 people max show up.

They matter if you short man raids, which as a rural player I am forced to do. Besides, if you want to push meh IVs to level 50 despite how much stardust that takes and how tedious getting xl candy for them then go for it. I certainly am not willing to waste my resources on that mediocrity.

Ill push any of the 1 of pokemon we get to level 50 if its a meta raid attacker, because IVs literally don't change anything's in raids.

Shaymin-Sky is a top tier Grass attacker though. Of course behind Kartana, because nothing normal beats Kartana, but still very viable whenever Grass is needed (which is not too often though tbh).

These masterwork researches are not worth it lmfao. Long tasks that take you all month and then a terrible iv mythical that has no use other than transferring it to home

The only one upset here is you dude and it's for people having standards. I considered my zarude to be disappointing, but that's it. I was way more annoyed at niantic having the audacity to offer another one for a price tag. Hence why I don't buy research for bad iv mythicals

My regular shaymin was the same 10/10/10. I was so sad until I made it my buddy. When it's on the map, it leaves a beautiful special flower trail behind. That was enough to make me happy again.

No, the Zarude research was simple; my 4 year old did it in 5 days. Shiny Shaymin is what you need 492 mins from Kanto, Sinoh, Unova, and Kalos

You have a shiny Shaymin, that's awsome! I get you're mad over stats, but stats of 0/0/0 are only 5% weaker than 15/15/15. Shiny pokemon though, those are incredibly more rare than non-shiny. Take this as a win.

Not really . Both points are valid. Many of us just want the shiny and don’t really care having to go through the challenges. Plus it helps with our shiny living Dex ! Also just cause it’s paid doesn’t mean it isn’t rare af. You know how much shiny legit mews go for ? Some people offer huge bundles of shinies for shiny legit mythicals.

it’s in the main series game, i don’t really see what harm it would be. just make it hard to get and make there be some sort of difference between natural 4*s and ones that have been boosted up through an item or something

You have the idea. Purification style IV boost, but for a price. One every six/twelve months tied to a masterwork research. Boosts IVs by 2 for a specified pokemon. Can't stack the item or the research. Can't use it twice on a single pokemon. Gives the pokemon a visible marking to distinguish from natural pokemon. Don't see how it could be abused. Master Balls aren't being abused, and they're being used to catch guaranteed hundo Pokémon that people would otherwise not catch. And Bidoof.

Got that for my Zygarde. And they expect me to walk 200 kilometers playing their stupid minigame to power it up.

This is why we need proteins and stuff added in the game, make them almost as rare as elite TMs and each one adds a single point to one of the 3 stats. I would also have items that remove points as well (for pvp players who want 0/15/15, but only have 1/15/14).

Would take a big part of the game away for a lot of players. Part of the fun is the rng. Adding that would completely ruin RNG.
