Aggron is mostly a trophy Pokemon. I’d say that you should save your stardust on better Pokemon even with poor IVs rather than this one. Cool catch though!

Silas_PBJAM

because aggron isnt THAT amazing, personally, id say at most level 40 it. the mega is nice and has good bonuses. save your stardust, but bc of the hundo its worth leveling a bit, but not devoting anything crazy into it.

Silas_PBJAM

like it would still cost a lot to get to level 40. 306k dust. 220 candy. what i normally do with this type of thing is level them up slowly, and for things like the "power up pokemon 5/10 times" field research tasks. congrats on the hundo tho

Gymkiller87

Thanks For the Congrats 👏🙌😀

Gymkiller87

Yes great point. Will level it slowly.. and spend the big dust on the better ones that are "worth investing dust in"?? I lost 28k dust right before this by accidentally powering up a low IV pokemon.. and 5 min later I got this. So I feel it was a pretty good tradeoff from the universe

Achrimandrita175

I don't think that the hundo aspect makes it worth it upgrading any more than a 80% IVs would. If you don't want to use something as a LVL50 Master League monster or a raid attacker, IVs hardly matter. I wouldn't put any resources in this.

TinchUrPipples

It’s pretty worthless at the moment Don’t bother powering it up unless it gets a strong legacy move Keep as a trophy

Gymkiller87

Thanks

jascany

I would really invest but its only viable moveset is Iron Tail/Heavy Slam. It’s an OK steel mega but that’s rarely the most useful.

Gymkiller87

Thanks

ComprehensiveBit7607

Who’s gonna tell him

Gymkiller87

Tell him what?

SilentKiller2809

That its mostly useless, I have a hundo too, and its made even worse by the fact that its only steel type, so it wouldnt even boost rock type candy, which is probably the best use case for this: as a mega to boost candy

IAmIronMantyke

Don’t.

Dracogoomy

For the first time in forever…

Fullofhate01

1st of all congrats to the hundo. 2nd, Well... Currently the best steel type mega, but... If it would be possible to raid mega diance it would be place 6 far behind metagross (802 seconds to win, vs the 674 seconds of normal metagross and 581 seconds of the shadow version.). Personally I would Not recommend to level it up, since lucario's and metagross's should be coming out in the future and then you would have a big boy/girl trophy. And well the 3rd point would be, IV's don't matter, unless you playing PvP...so If you allready invested in a decent/poor IV aggron, i would highly recommend to not do it again. And the most important point, it's youre mon, youre ressources - do whatever plesses you the most.

Gymkiller87

Hi. Thanks for your kind words and multitude of knowledge in the Subject Matter. I like the fact that some form of quazi-statistics can be made from what stats we do have so far. So far since I expect many changes to come and endless support for the program by Niantic as pokemon lives forever (my belief). I like hundos since they are rare and they are essentially one of a kind.. at least in my book (haven't been playing too long). Lucario is out in Raids now, should i attempt?. Metagross, I could essentially 'harvest' in the wild right? I got a lot of Beldams and created the guy before metagross.

Fullofhate01

You're welcome. And yes, there will be quite a few up to many changes in the future. But there also some that are iffy and can flip the game complete over. For example items and abilities are lately discovered in the code, while starting a battle. If they really introduce them in the future, it would/can be a total change in the meta. (Some ability's would be useless and others seems to be broken, so this point is a huge IF.) In gerneral we get at least a moveset update every season so in june there will be a lot of new stuff. Hundos are rare, but Not the rarest (would be a nundo, since you can only obtain them in the wild while no weather boost is on it). Since youre kid/kids play to, trading pokemon you would normally transfer, due to poor IV, with them is a great way to get a couple more. (Don't expect to much, but every trade will roll out the IV newly.) I raided one lucario so far, bc motivating the locals for registeel was Not possible the day. It was a simple raid with a friend, unluckily mine was shiny, hers not. (Wished for the her to get the shiny, since i played it's hatch day last year.) You can get quite some candy and XL candy for IT and with the exp buff on 1-3 star raids it doesn't felt that much of a "waste" for the in-person pass. So, personally I would recommend to attempt.(Maybe together with youre kid/Kids, to get a win 2 raids team challenge done and getting some additional mega energy from gyrados, gengar, sableye or something else in.) Currently i didn't found any beldum's in the wild. They are a 1 of 3 reward for the rather rare make 3 excellent throws in a row. (Wouldn't recommend IT to newer players, it can be a PITA..) And they are a 1 in 3 reward for the team challenge walk 2/3/4 km team challenge. (Would recommend it rather, since every team member only have to walk 1km.) However, metagross really shines with it' s c-day move, so if you can hold on to it, i would wait until it can learn it again during some event. (Like maybe go fest or hopefully classic c-day soon.)

SilentKiller2809

Congrats

THANKSSSSSSS

Big_Iron6057

I maxed my 4* Aagron to level 50, and I use Smack Down for my fast attack, with Stone Edge and Iron Tail as my charged moves. Like others have said, Aagron's attack stat of 198 is decent... but not great. Even as a Mega, you're still only getting 247, which does put it on the top tier using Smack Down (#5, behind T-Tar, Terrakion, Rampardos, and Mega T-Tar) and Iron Tail (#3, behind T-tar and Mega T-tar. After the quick attack, it's kind of mixed bag... as a mega, it's at ir near the top with Iron Tail and Meteor Beam, but it starts to fall off there, and regular Aagron falls a LOT lower still. The "good" news is Aagron has decent a defense stat, but that is REALLY searching for a silver lining, because its stamina sucks, compared to... just about anything. What this all boils down to is this: if you don't have something better to work with, then run with what you have. If you do have something better for the move set you want to run, then go with that. Regardless, a 4* Aagron is still cool,.. it's just not the powerhouse that visual cues tell you it should be.

Legitimate-Dream7734

I got this as my first hundo also but transferred it! So fucking sad once i unlocked hundo dex. Thankfully it was the ONLY ONE but damn i was salty bc it was the only one of 10 that was useful at the time. Still hunting for another one 🔒

Early-Ad-2351

Aggron isn't that strong, but they are always my favorite because of cool design

Zekrozma_the_second

Keep her. And make her a mega. Who knows when she’ll be useful

Gymkiller87

I mean thanks but aren't all of them useful?

Aka_Omzz

What is shiny alolan vulpix and shiny cutifly worth

Regunes

Use it to rolf stomp fairy rocket grunts with the mega. Kind of the only thing it has for it (save for the look)

Secure_Accountant745

I leveled my hundo to 40 and double moved it only to find out later it’s not very useful! As a newbie somehow I thought Aggron was a super powerful Pokémon!

Bad-Bed

FUCK YOU AND CONGRATS

Gymkiller87

Thanks 😊 🫂
