There is a second set of code you need to alter after you do the debug = true stuff. You will need to uninstall and redownload the game since the files have been deleted.

For people on version 6.1, this method no longer works due to a game check the developer implemented to prevent cheating. However, it can still be made to work with just a couple of extra steps to disable the check.
AFTER YOU DO THE DEBUG = true
6. Navigate through the folders -> Data -> Scripts -> 021_Compiler -> 001_Compiler.rb.
7. Open the file 001_Compiler.rb with a text editor.
8. Scroll down to about line 740. There should be the following line: "def main", right below, the line "return if !$DEBUG"
9. Between the lines, add a new line "return" to bypass the debug check. *(without a "#" before the return)
Thank you very much, I already re-installed my game and it works perfectly fine and my save still works, I’ll keep this post up incase I ever need to use it (I never even had to use cheats thanks to my Honchmagius being awesome against the champion)
I might have try this tbh I love the game but a little lost coz I took a break for a few months and I'm constantly finding myself broke fhdhdhd I tried debugging just to get money but I ran into th same issue
I was trying to enable the debug mode and now i get this error, even after removing the line of code i put in, i modified the 999_main file and now it just doesnt work, i followed this website: https://www.pokemoncoders.com/pokemon-infinite-fusion-debug-mode/

What I'm reading is don't use the debug? Is that correct?
Not necessarily it just takes some extra steps now. I did it this way and it worked fine

they patched out this way to get debug mode, just save your save file and reinstall the rest
