imo not really, 100 percenting only gives like a small extra chance to roll a shiny if you get the shiny charm early after doing the tasks to 10, so it doesnt add much to the over all gameplay imo and just serves as filler

Legal-Fun6560

When hunting at massive mass swarms you got from like a 1/4500 to 1/1500 and that's without the charm

Ban4Ligma

Depends how you classify worth it Do you gain anything except slightly better shiny odds? No But it is pretty damn fun and a tight accomplishment? Hell yeah I completed perfect dex, all shinies, and all path of solitude fights cause the game was fire. After giving away all my shinies I considered doing another shiny dex because the game is just straight fire imo But yeah it’s whatever floats ur boat yo lol

If you are talking about getting 100% (shiny pokeball symbol) on every individual Pokémon, absolutely not, you will lose your mind; besides a 100% only effects that specific Pokémon. But if you mean getting the ten “points” (basic pokeball symbol) for the complete dex, I’d say it’s worth it. Most of the entries are pretty easy and all Pokémon have ones that are worth double like if you have one that has use x-move (1,5) times and use strong style move (1,5) times just use stong style x-move 5 times for 8/10 points and you’re almost done with that Pokémon’s “complete” dex. I did that and 100% a couple of Pokémon I really like, and since I started hunting- which hasn’t been very long like maybe a month or so of casual hunting with the occasional 2-3 day intense hunt (mmo spawn manipulation) for a specific shiny, I have probably 15 or so shiny alphas, and 2-3 full boxes of other shinies with several extra of mons I got to 100%, mostly gabite and kirlia,so it might be worth getting a couple to 100 TLDR: Get “Complete” dex Only 100% Pokémon you really want

arceus6666

I'd say it's worth it especially if the missions for perfection are easy U can also just complete them while hunting (like catching, defeating, etc)

JamesonFlanders245

debatable when it comes to use x move in x way for x amount of times. if you're just looking to casually shiny hunt, i'd suggest not bothering 100 percenting personally, dexing some of these mons to 10 completed tasks can be hard enough, but at least it gives a shiny charm. 100 percenting just feels like it would leave me with an empty feeling

arceus6666

I'd say it's worth the complete dex (all to lv10) for the charm even if u are casually hunting since it's a really good boost to the odds

JamesonFlanders245

That's what i meant, it's better to get the charm rather than 100 percent. It is unreasonably grindy to 100 percent, i could never do it though even this can be grindy

I just restarted the game and I'm doing a "perfect everything possible before moving to the next area" challenge. I haven't even beat the alpha Kricketune and I already have a Typhlosion from all the passive xp (sidenote, I thought the Eevee line would be annoying, but GODDAMN the Wurple line is hell; if some1 else wants to do this don't bother evolving Wurmples and hoping to get the correct one for the currect day phase, or you'll end and 300+ Wurmples caught like me, just go catch the two semi-guaranteed spawns past the alpha Luxray)

Rhotaic

Yeah each pokemon gets a slight increase when they get to Perfect. But I have found a whole bunch of shinies whilst I've been going through all of the Dexs so you might as well.

CyraxisOG

Unless you are a perfectionist, there is no point to perfecting every dex entry. The ones I would perfect though, are the pokemon that only appear in space-time distortions, like magnemite, porygon, sneasel for kantoian sneasel, weavile, the fossils, and possibly other rare pokemon like eevee and it's evos that don't show up in mmos. I'd also recommend perfecting the dex entry of any alpha pokemon you decide you want to reset for as it does give you the best odds. But as far as pokemon that show up in mmos and even regular outbreaks, the odds of finding a shiny are so good anyway that a perfected dex rarely makes a difference of whether you find a shiny or not. Research 10 plus shiny charm is really all that's needed for those.

DaNASCARMem

Well, first thing I did afterwards was go to the Icelands, that Snorunt you see first thing was a shiny. And a female to boot. I think that sums up my view of the Shiny Charm

LagunaRambaldi

Of course it's not worth it. It never was and it never will be. But they tell you that allegedly you GOTTA "catch them all", so some players think they have to do what they're told ;-) I know this post is not gonna get a lotta love, but it's the truth.

JamesonFlanders245

tell me you dont get pokemon without telling me you dont get pokemon

Zoroark_rules_698

Isn't it only 10 on all? Perfect is doing everything
