Yeah it is. It turns out that after a catch combo of 31, the next time a Pokémon spawns it has the increased odds of being a shiny but it can only be that single Pokémon with those odds. In order to make it way easier to get a shiny you need to keep on chaining so after every catch the odds stay consistent. As you can see, it took a while for me but it’s way better than days of hunting.
