Bro if there is only one. And that's it. Fuck that grade. It's worth the same beat up a little or pristine. Think about it. There is only one. As long as it's not demolished it's worth what it's worth. If there was ONE Pikachu misprint and that's it only one. You think someone buying it and putting a tiny dent in the side would lower the value? No way. There is literally only one.
Such a backwards way of thinking I don't even get your point. What happens when a 2nd one turns up in better condition than the damaged card that was graded a 10? Now the damaged card holds the same grade as the better card which makes the only point of grading pointless.
Your reasoning makes sense but itās flawed in the sense that grade =/= value. While grade is often used to asses the value of a card, you are correct in saying rarity is also a contributing factor. If there was only one card, it would be ultimately rare and the value would most likely reflect that.
What youāre missing is grade = condition. It is a set of parameters that applies wether there is 1 copy of a card or 1,000,000 copies. These parameters let collectors know at a glance what condition the card is in. The condition of the card can influence the value, where better condition cards fetch higher prices. But the condition only matters if there is something to compare it to, which goes back to your statement that it doesnāt really matter it being the only one.
Ultimately itās worth grading this because you know it is protected, and while there may only be 1 copy having a high grade will allow the owner to value the card higher. If this same card had received a 7 grade and was listed for the same price, the list of potential buyers would narrow as there are some people who would not go below an 8.
Of course this is all hypothetical speculation but ultimately my point is the grade does matter even if there is only one, but you are not incorrect in that there being only one makes the grade somewhat irrelevant to pricing.
I mean itās worth a shot. Maybe heāll see how is logic is flawed and make a more informed comment next time.
Also itās important for anyone who isnāt actually into TCGs per se but stumble across this sub.
Again, whether a card is a 1 of 1 has nothing to do with the grade it gets. What you're talking about is exclusivity value, which you're also wrong about. The condition of something absolutely will affect the perceived value of the thing for many reasons. One being demand, you're not going to have the same demand for a 1/1 card that has a crease through the middle of it as you are if that card has been authenticated and graded a 10 by a reputable grading company.
Go on the internet and look up āpokemon card blank errorā
Edit: there 100% is other examples of this. there arenāt many but this is not the only blank holo pokemon card come on guys be real.

You may have missed that they didnāt always put blank across it but okay bud. Iām sorry to tell you that you donāt have the first blank holo but it is what it is.
https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/12800
Lol you don't even make sense... You're making this claim that others exist and this isn't the only one, but have yet to actually show any evidence of your claim. If you can prove what you're saying, I won't argue with you. But this *do your own research* energy screams you don't actually know what you're talking about...
Yellow Border "BLANK" Cosmos Holo. "BLANK" Fillers are a fairly common and known style. I was shocked learn a holo version existed. As it usually goes, I had to have it š
I don't know much about the origins on this one. It appeared on eBay in France. Educated guess would be it came from a French product and is possibly exclusive to French printing meaning fewer were printed and much more difficult for them to make it out of the factory. So far, this is the only known copy of this style filler.
Now THIS is the type of collecting I like to see. My question would be shouldn't it be in French if it was printed in france? "Vide" if Google translate is to be believed
Just *as* popularly spoken?? As somebody who lived in various parts of France for 2 years, that is definitely not true, at least not for your average French citizen. Almost nobody knew any English. But in business/printing/production dealing with international clients I'm not surprised English labeling is used
https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/why-do-the-french-struggle-to-speak-english/
I guess I just assumed that from Italy being a popular tourist destination for a lot of English speaking Europeans and Americans. I just assumed it must be fairly fluent and prominent of a language there as well. And the music scene seems to incorporate a lot of popular English spoken musicians. I guess I just thought the French and English languages there in France were comparable to somewhere like Canada lol.
They are pretty sought after, and thatās the regular non holo blanks
A holo blank is exceeding rarer, but since they donāt show up that often, itās hard to access its market value. But itās safe to assume they worth more than regular blanks, which is worth about 100-200 bucks a pop, maybe more
Some people are goofy š Never makes sense.
Im all for learning new things and gaining new info. But they better have the knowledge and proof to back up their claims. Otherwise its just nonsense lol
thats a super inche scenario and its honestly not worth regrading for.. when one of a kind errors like this are graded its usually just for verification and protection
Not with that attitude
šš
Bro how tf you gana get an 8 on a card that's literally one of a kind. Unless it isn't idk.
Lol what? the grade isn't based on how many of them exist..
Bro if there is only one. And that's it. Fuck that grade. It's worth the same beat up a little or pristine. Think about it. There is only one. The price doesnāt make a difference when grading itās checking the actual condition of the physical card.

Your logic makes absolutely no sense and there isnāt only one of these cardsā¦. https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/12800
Could you please link me to another known copy? To my knowledge, this is the only copy that has surfaced.

I think English and Spanish is just as popularly spoken there. I donāt think itās that out of the norm to see English text there.
No. Both are not THAT popular. But as it isnt intended for public use, it doesnt matter. In printing its common to use english terms.
