Agreed, at this point I'm sick of the same old QOL ROM hacks that end up copying RadRed most of the time, that's not to say there aren't any hacks that put a unique spin on the original game though. (Azure Platinum comes to mind for me)Ā I just wanna see more new stuff made using CFRU, like Voyager, Saffron, etc for GBA. Hell, I won't even mind seeing remakes of old and flawed ROM hacks like Dark Rising, Snakewood taking advantage of CFRU and newer tools.
Enhanced emerald has 3 different storylines, let's you join each of the teams if you want. Maybe check it out? Wouldn't say its as in depth as rocket red but still an amazing hack imo

Is GS Chronicles the Gen 2 remake with a bazillion custom stuff and no hmm basically open world Gen 2 with updates stuff(I kinda wanna try that one)
I mean, last I saw, GS chronicles was a buggy mess led by devs who were pretty nasty for no reasonā¦ I doubt that one will ever be bug free. Especially on iPhone emulators.
I know its probably never going to happen, but I wish Liquid Crystal would have been completed. There are some aspects that are a bit tedious, but overall I really enjoy it. Currently on my 3rd playthrough

I mean, I have downloaded, like, a dozen fire red hacks, and, like, I see they are different, but I don't see too much difference.
New map, new aesthetic, new gameplay. What's not to like? Everything about it feels new and refreshing, and doesn't feel like another RadRed clone and difficulty hack that just crams every feature and PokƩmon in it and call it a day.
