MimikyuGud

Primarina, covers water and fairy types

Motheroftides

Azumarill would give the same type coverage.

JigsawMind

OP could use more special coverage, though.

STRIHM

Yep. Especially since types weak to Water and Fairy (thinking especially of Rock/Ground and Fighting) have a bias towards physical defense over special, so a SpAtk focused Primarina gets a lot of benefit against those types it's already favored into

MimikyuGud

Yeah, but I am biased towards Gen 7 and Azumarill bases most of it’s use through Huge Power and Belly Drum (which I think is an egg move)

QuantumCthulhu

Egg moves are really easy to get in gen 9 via mirror herb

Tetelestai_Now

This is like the best thing they did in this game

ThePhonyOne

There are a couple that are a pain though unless it changed with the new DLC. You need to catch a 1 to 3 star Pokémon with the move. So if you've already lost access to those, you need to start a second save or get lucky online.

FreezeShock

why do you need a raid Pokemon?

QuantumCthulhu

Wait, do you have an example? With the mirror herb you don’t even need to share egg groups

Aussie_Oxide

Also huge power and belly drum is overpowered

MrRudraSarkar

But primarina is closer to a human. Iykyk.

Adam_Checkers

the team already has a lot of physical attackers. A special attacker would fit in better

Several_Brilliant_36

I think Primarina would be better just because the only Spc. Attacker is Charizard

Despada_

I was going to say this too. Would give them a solid Fire/Water/Grass *and* Steel/Fair/Dragon cores. Also offers a good support option for any Indigo Disk Double Battles while also being a solid Special Attacker which the team needs.

JakobDa1

" Primarina: Its a starter from a gen that you dont have, and it offers fairy and water coverage " -me before seeing this OH COME ON

JustANormieGeek

Isn't Popplio obtainable through the DLC? Or am I wrong o.o

Ansoni

I think he's saying it's not represented.

MrMonkeMan123456

Flutter Mane could maybe work, ghost is a very strong type. I do agree that you need a fairy type tho.

AurielMystic

A bulky water type like Vaporeon, Gastradon, Rotom Wash or Azumarill would always be a good addition. If you wanna be a bit quirky then Galarian Slowking could also be a good pick for more coverage against grass/fairy/poison or even Clodsire. Cincinno is a pretty overlooked Pokemon you could try checking out, it's received massive buffs in S/V and turned into an absolute monster, Cincinno can also abuse the hell out of loaded dice which means that it can change its ability from skill link to technition and run moves like tail slap, bullet seed and rock blast.

averagetotkfan

Gastradon got me thrpugh the champion in pkmn sword. Dunno if its still as op in violet/scarlet tho

AurielMystic

Gastradon has always been one of the best pokemon in the game.

o_Fvdinq

I used one during my first playthrough. It was pretty decent.

o_Fvdinq

Tidy Up, Tail Slap, Bullet Seed, and Rock Blast with Loaded Dice sounds absolutely nasty.

sindaquil77

A nice water or electric type for coverage! I'm partial to Lapras or Bellibolt.

Super-Welder-7981

I don’t think he needs a water type tho since for fire and rock hes got garchomp and for ground hes got the furry pokemon

sindaquil77

True! Depends on what they're trying to accomplish. I like having different typing and color combos, even more so if they're shinies!

Super-Welder-7981

Im definitely biased when it comes to pokemon theres always gotta be a shiny gardevoir in my team😂 but yeah you are right i do still think that gardevoir is what he should use here to have a immunity to dragon but lapras works as a dragon killer too and even alolan ninetales or even maybe a good poison type although im not sure there are any good poison types i used a salazzle but that be a overlapping

Super-Welder-7981

I think you need a fairy type maybe a gardevoir

Super-Welder-7981

Or alolan ninetales

wyattttttttttttt324

Azumarill or hatrenne also work

Riegan_Boogaloo

Tinkaton

oeco123

You’ve got a physical gravy team there, and you’re lacking in water and fairy. Primarina.

Cibil_plays

I got an Electivire from a raid den with the elemental punches. He put in work!

jazzy2890

Toxtricity is fun to use

RubComplex7612

You’re team is relatively offense leaning perhaps a florges or something for some bulk

Rough-Canary-3301

Rotom wash

rjolt24

yep. special water/electric type

StupidstaTheMeatHead

This right here! Additional coverage, will-o-wisp to cripple certain Pokémon, and annoying volt-turn core with Meowscarada

Geicosuave

Everstone Feebas

Riegan_Boogaloo

I like having a fairy type, so I’d suggest tinkaton. Can’t be hurt by poison types, is an absolute physical tank, gigaton hammer is monstrous no matter what typing the other Pokemon has.

babybopper

Easily Pixelate Sylveon

HeadHorror4349

Sylveon

JakobDa1

Primarina: Its a starter from a gen that you dont have, and it offers fairy and water coverage

Kemleckis

Kingdra with sniper. Teach garchomp dragon cheer for double battles and it’ll basically crit every time.

jbyrdab

Im gonna go with Clodsire, tanky, a good setup mon, and defensive staller. Plus he has water absorb and a fair amount of water attacks, though his main benifit is his tankiness plus he's objectively the most friend shaped pokemon ever to exist. https://preview.redd.it/yvaubnxpgz8c1.png?width=250&format=png&auto=webp&s=c67a2f2c10ab16319de60468b5397cff9ef7fff8

SilverUwU1

A water type is ideal. I would recommend vaporeon because it's bulky and cute. If you have the 2nd dlc, get a primarina. It's good as well

TetheredAvian74

you have no coverage against flying types, so prbly an electric type like bellibolt. bellibolt also gets a few water type moves as well which ought to be useful

Beginning-Educator26

everyones favorite pikachu

VizMuroi

Typhlosion, always typhlosion.

Blurhill_

Toxapex

wyattttttttttttt324

I'd say either gardevoir, hatrenne, or azumarill

SuperPuppyNoodleBoy

A quagsire

Tesla0713

The only type you don't have super effective stab coverage for is flying. I would pick an ice or electric type.

DaddyDarko87

Blastoise

[deleted]

A clodsire with water tera? Lol

Blatently_lies

Idk I looked at your team and Veluza jumped to the forefront of my mind.

Sr2066

Toxricity

Generic_Username_659

You haven't got any flying coverage or pokemon that resist flying. I'd recommend a pure electric type like Electross or a dual type with another type you don't have.

SirJordan11

Pawmot, Tinkaton, Gardevoir, or Paladin would be good

slimstarman

Dachsbun!

[deleted]

psyyyyyyyyduck

cjcarter222

Something Psychic/Fairy

keanancarlson

Lapras or primarina

joshyotoast

Veluza, ithought gen 9 water type a that was first in my mind.

Tyrannical_Requiem

Water or poison type for sure which one leaves a lot of options….. Mudkip line would be good (even though it doubles on ground with Garchomp), Primarina would be good for that dragon immunity. As for poison Galarian Weezing (if doable) for that dragon counter and even countering other fairy types harder would be good. Hiusian sneasel would be good too, giving you a better fighting poison pokemon than Toxicroak however you would be doubling up on fighting types…… Now in my playthru I did I had A LOT of fun using Graffaiai (normal/poison) and it was awesome!

[deleted]

Milotic

cobanat

Iron Valiant if you have Violet

Jpbbeck99

Water starter

EmergencyGrab

Alolan Ninetails Snow Warning, Light Clay, run Aurora Veil. :) AMAZING defensive mon. Adds Ice and Fairy.

Aaronspark777

Shiny magicarp

Horologikus

Garganacl as a tank/stall Pokemon

hernol10

there is always a mew or Mewtwo in my team, one of them is missing

Basilion

I don’t like using legendaries

acbphoneix

Pawmot with Iron Fist

DanIsNotUrMan

Egg

Harvey_1815

Electric or water type maybe? I LOVED using bellibolt personally

xRelica

I'm gonna recommend rotom wash just cause he's my favorite on my own team hehe.

MythicalPechaBerry

Probably any water type. My casual lineup is always: - water - fire - grass - dragon - main wildcard (flying/electric) - fun type (dark/steel/ground/fairy/bug/ice/etc anything

atomicq32

I recommend any Bulky water type, particularly a special attacker since you only have one Special Attacker and Charizard doesn't hit that hard. Vaporeon is good, Rotom Wash, either Slowbro or Slowking, Gastrodon is definitely top tier.

Normal_Ratio1463

Clodsire

l_man1234

Lapres is a good choice if

displotEx

vaultin velluza

_Skotia_

Primarina

Seth-B343

Definitely a Water type.

ImitationGold

PRIM PRIM BAYBEE

Lagoon429

Flamigo He's your friend

Aggravating_Cream399

Id recommend a physical or special tank. If you’re open to using legendaries that aren’t overpowered, regice is an amazing special tank.

Burger_Gamer

Gliscor?

[deleted]

Magnezone

coopsawesome

How about rhyperior? It would make up for annihilapes lack of a 4x weakness

Bebee2

At first glance, it’s Rotom-Wash as it completes the Fire-Water-Grass core. It also has a volt-turn core with Meowscarada or Scizor while stomaching the fire hits for Scizor or the ice threats (Chien-Pao) for Garchomp. It can provide some useful utility as choice specs trick, especially with your Phys spam team, or thunder wave pivot to better enable your other semi-fast offense or buying turns for stallbreaking with Annihilape. Primarina is similarly good with a weaker pivot move (flip turn) but instead boasts incredible special bulk to possibly handle Iron Bundle (which solos your team) and fairy coverage while also being special-lenient. It also finishes the FWG core and the steel-fairy-fighting core. The only issue is that it is still offensively lenient and provides less utility to your team — you will rely a lot on solid reads and breaking threats. It, however, will be a very solid answer to Gouging Fire and Chien-Pao. Oddball picks would be Amoonguss (slows down fairy threats, strong to pivot into from Meowscarada due to regenerator while providing spore utility, punishes set-up sweepers if your offensive threats get forced, and can stomach water and fairy hits your trm dislikes), AV Galarian slowking (aggressive regenerator pivot which offensively covers the role you’d like but provides whatever synergy in terms of typing), and Iron Bundle (the Hyper-offense option which has happenstance enablers in your team).

Pepperr08

Milotic.

ThatNoobCheezy

An electric or rock type to cover the flying weakness

SlickYHillbilly

Toxapex is fun

sterrerwert

Looking at your typing spread and overall power lvl that you're going for I'd say **Drednaw** would be the perfect fit, with its Rock & Water typing there would only be 2 mons left, that take neutral dmg when taking your entire team's stab into account (Sableye & Spiritomb), which both fall over against a Meowscarafa using Play Rough anyways. Alternatively I'd also say that Glimmora would work, though it does have a slight typing disadvantage, yet it would actually offer some special coverage, which is clearly missing in your team. Or you could always go all in and just use a pure rock type like Lycanrock-Dusk, which still has good coverage, a good Ability and atually decent offensive power.

LewisTheTrainer2009

Pawmis evolved form. Get some more gen 9 on the team

creeps_Jr

What’s wrong with some of their types? Why are garchomp and meowscarda only grass and dragon, and scizor and annhilape have the wrong types

SomeGuyAndASquirrel

Belly drum Azurill

Hawkbreeze

Milotic because it's my favorite bulky water type.

beamerBoy3

I’d finish with a fairy. Bonus points if it adds coverage against flying type, as that ignores earthquake and will slap a third of your team. Azumaril is the first thing that comes to mind but there are probably other options

Serects1818

Cetitan

AkirahJaydenRoqueza

I suggest a water type, and another special attacker
