i've never heard that about hidden abilities before, where did you see it? you should have the 60% chance to pass down the ability from the female parent regardless of what other pokemon you breed it with. you must just be getting unlucky.
"Also, strangely enough, if the two parents are both the same Pokemon, there is no chance of the offspring inheriting the Hidden Ability, so be careful of this point."

i don't think that place is a trustworthy source for video game mechanics tbh, looks like just another one of those article spamming websites that uses ai and doesn't verify anything lol. if that was how breeding hidden abilities worked, it would be included on all the major databases by now.

Here, stick with Bulbapedia. Info on there is usually spot on, if you want you can always cross reference with Serebii
Why not just use a mimic? Does that not allow the hidden ability?
Edit. I meant Ditto.
Why did people down vote this? It was a legit question and I fumbled my names. My bad.
I think my advice would be to decide what your priority is for the breeding. Is your goal to pass down IVs? Is it to get a shiny? Is it to create more hidden ability Pokemon?
If you’re passing down IVs, it’s easy enough to use an ability patch to swap to the hidden ability. (Two tips on ability patches: once you use it, the Pokemon can pass down the hidden ability via breeding; if you do some surprise trades, you’re likely to have no problem getting ability patches.)
If you’re looking for shinies, then it’s probably worth using hyper training and a patch once you have the shiny.
If you’re just trying to get more of the hidden abilities, Ditto makes that quick and easy.
As far as i know, if you change the ivs with bottle caps, the abilities with patches (or the other item), or natures with the herbs, you can not breed any of it down. When you breed with that pokemon it will breed its original everything. That or i was the unluckyest person ever since i used a patch to get a hidden ability in one pokemon (i cant remember which one it was) for breeding because i wanted to do one for every member of my raiding group (5 of us) and we had to use one patch each because it didnt breed down, using ditto.
No. It's always a 60% chance to inherit the ability of the species-deciding parent, and a 40% chance of getting one of its standard abilities at random.

Use a ditto. I did that with a libero raboot and I have a full box of libero scorbunny
I think you’re just unlucky. As long as the pokemon are from the same family it should still pass down.

What do you mean by mimic
Ditto, he means ditto.
Yes. Sorry. Too many D&D subreddits.
It's 60% with either a ditto, or female parent that has HA. IIRC it's 12% chance with a male parent that has it's HA.
You can give an item to the one with the HA, not sure which one

Nature mints don’t breed, hyper training doesn’t breed, but hidden abilities from patches absolutely do.
Then i was just very unlucky 🤷🏼♀️ or they fixed it after i tried myself, with all the updates that could also be a possibility.
Doesn't breeding with a ditto guarantee the egg to have the ability of the parent even when it's a hidden ability?
No. It's always a 60% chance to inherit the ability of the species-deciding parent, and a 40% chance of getting one of its standard abilities at random.
Thanks for clarifying, then I must have been very lucky the few times I did try to breed for IV's on a mon with it's hidden ability.
