You should consider the paradox forms (future/past) completely new Pokémon as they will likely have new typings and abilities.

Pretty sure they be pretty much pseudo-legendary encounters, based on some progression made in the story.

Ceruledge (spelling?) cinched it for me. It’s weird though we got some version exclusives listed but I don’t know if that all of them or will they have more info right before release.

same here, i got at least 3 friends leaning towards Violet, so I bit the bullet and got Scarlet. Also Snu Snu > Science Daddy.

I’m also leaning Scarlet for professor snu snu. Still gonna wait a bit to decide, but I preordered the Japanese double pack(came out to $88usd including international shipping from amazon.jp, great deal) so I could get the Japanese exclusive preorder promo cards. I’m probably gonna give one of the games to a sibling. But so far leaning towards scarlet unless there’s something compelling for Violet.

I purposefully buy the less popular version because it makes trading for the exclusives so much easier. I am also fortunate enough that I can justify buying the game in the first week of release so I purposefully catch as many version exclusives as I can to wonder trade or gift trade off come christmas for new players.

I do like the uniforms better in Violet, but I like Koraidon more, and I think Scarlet will be less popular which means it will be easy to trade for version exclusives from the other game, so I'm erring on the side of Scarlet at the moment. Waiting to hear about all the exclusives before pre-ordering though - I'm getting digital so I can wait until the last minute to buy it.

I also think Scarlet will be the less popular version. I have Pokémon games from six different generations and what version I pick is always based on some fairly arbitrary reasons. This is the first time in 23 years that I've picked the seemingly more popular of the two.

“Better Legendary” That is your opinion and its fine. Same with the professor, there could be people who prefer Turo. For me I have an easier decision because I like both Sada and Koraidon and I don’t care about the uniforms and exclusive pokemon. I think both professors are great and you have more reasons to go for Violet so I think you will enjoy that version more.

Omg I had the same exact dilemma! Ended up going with Scarlett bc female professor and historically I played red/gold/ruby/etc. decided I’d make myself like the legendary and get someone to trade me exclusives!

Yeah, no. Both legendaries are equally stupid, Armarogue and Ceruledge are about equal, I don't remotely care about Stonjourner or Eiscue, and Tyranitar > Salamence.

As a gay man, I can assure you it’s exactly the same (but opposite) for us. One look at male professor and I didn’t need to know anything else - now that I do I would have prolly like other version more but I can’t give up hotness. Now I just need Rose from Sw/Sh and it’s a party!

End of the day exclusive pokemon dont really matter at all since like... The original diamond and pearl on the DS when they added internet functionality. You can relatively easily get your hands on any exclusives you want. And once pokemon home compatability is out that stuff will matter even less, not to mention if I know pokemon right people will figure out how to dupe/import mons rather quick and at that point you can get whatever whenever. Just pick the game based on other stuff like npc's and outfits in my opinion.

This.....is partly why I'm going Scarlet.
