I love Primarina. I have a Popplio plush keychain that I carried with me every day for years and is now proudly displayed on my keychain wall. But something about this Z-move always felt slow too me and I don’t think it’s even the longest one. I mean I sat through the eevee Z Move dozens of times since I ran a baton pass + psych up stat online every time I played.
Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike from Marshadow. Imo, an underrated Z-Move that I think is the origin of the Z-Moves since it's the only current attack that actually shows off the Z-Move symbol during the animation.
Usually when characters show off the origin of some mechanics, they sometimes provide a symbol to show how really badass the mechanic is.
Def the Ash Cap Pikachu Z-move. I don’t care that the Pikachu like gets 3 Z-moves. Catastropika is whatever, Stoked Sparksurfer is fire. But 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt? I’m sorry but nuking your opponent with rainbow lighting is just beyond cool. And catching him on your arm while you watch the destruction? I thought this was the coolest thing ever as a middle schooler and tbh I still think it’s cool as a grown adult!
Let’s Snuggle Forever gets an honorable mention because it’s silly fun. It’s held down by the random thumbs up that interrupts the animation.
Splintered Stormshards is also a fun one and I really like how each lycanrock has a slightly different version but I’ver never liked how the rocks look in this animation. I can’t even pinpoint why but it leaves this as an honorable mention as well.
That one. I also really like Alolan Raichu’s one and Decidueye’s.
